BWB Gastro Bar — Restaurant in Tallinn

This place was a true discovery for me in Tallinn. We visited it during Restaurant Week and ordered the seafood menu which included blue mussels in cream and wine sauce and an octopus dish. The mussels were probably the best I’ve had in Tallinn and the presentation was really good, served with Belgian waffles. The octopus dish also came with baby potatoes and shrimps. Everything was perfectly cooked - this dish was a favorite as well. The menu is quite extensive, so we’re definitely planning to return and try even more. They also have photos of the dishes in the menu which is a great help when choosing. Additionally, we ordered Pornstar Martini and Gin Tonic cocktails, and beer. Drinks were delicious too. The atmosphere is great, with a nosier area that feels more like a bar, as well as a quieter section where you can enjoy your meal in peace. The service was friendly and fairly quick. We went there while on tour on a special date for our third anniversary with my partner.

We had a lovely time: the waiters were very kind, funny and helpful. food was delicious: we had the pumpkin soup (very tasty!), the prosciutto waffle (big and very generous in prosciutto), the duck salad (fresh and perfectly cooked duck). We finished with the Banana Waffle with Nutella - also delicious! atmosphere was calm (we did go on a Tuesday night at 20:30) so it was perfect for a date. as we don't drink alcohol, they offered "virgin" Aperok Spritz which was also very good. Very close to a "real one".

They promoted cheeseburger special (7,5€), we took one + fries (+6€/ portion) and a salmon waffle (15€). Big waffle portion and fries arrived within 20min, 5min after that waiter comes back and tells me the burger was not on discount today and it was accidentally promoted and asked if I still want it or other special offer they actually had today. I asked for the burger, so had to wait for at least 20min more. By the time the burger arrived fries were cold and partner finished her meal. On top of that the cheeseburger had no cheese. No discounts whatsoever, just a quick “sorry about that”....
