I'd say it's the best lunch in Helsinki - good value for money at the moment. It's enough just to get in to understand that you are in ''proper hands''. The first thing I'd like to mention is the work of waiters. Very friendly staff wearing a beautiful uniform. It's great to watch the people who can and want to do their job with pleasure. The service system is well-thought and arranged properly, in my view. You can barely feel it but they constantly surround you with attention.
As for the quality of food, it's on the top level. I could have lunch which consisted of 3 courses and I must admit that I enjoyed everything. Soft duck liver parfait matches perfectly well with fig compote and a piece of toast. For the main course I had the most delicious pike-perch fillet with gold and crunchy crust, which was served with potatoes and olives. For dessert they offer almond-fig cake in vanilla sauce, which you should certainly try with a cup of black tea. The only thing which I'd like to improve is ''parfait de foie gras'' serving. The meal was served on a blue plate, which spoilt the visual perceiving of the composition. The way ''parfait de foie gras'' is arranged on the plate has to be improved by the chefs. Anyway, it's the matter of esthetic taste, so it doesn't influence the quality of meals. If you decide to visit cafe Savoy, I recommend you booking the table in advance. It's a great...

Went for lunch last Friday and It was surprising to see other customers in trainers and athletic wear when I had a suit and tie and my lunch date was dressed in business professional attire. Not really premium display from other patrons, maybe the Savoy needs the money so they let anyone in with whatever clothing... The food was very good and fairly priced for the quality ingredients and preparation. The wine was over the top in pricing- as an industry professional I know the cost basis and the multiples here are over the top. Sadly the service was scattered on quality- from starter throughout the lunch to dessert we were "crew" served. Only saw the same person when taking order and bringing the check. In between we saw 3 other people who each time mixed up which drink and food item went to which customer. Disappointing when we were only 2 guests and definitely not a premium experience. It was second time for us dining there and I am not sure if we...
Read moreBeen there for a evening drink, but confronted by a rude bartender / waiter. ( tall guy with messy hairs and Mustache ) First got ignored by him and just waited 15-20 mins when he was hanging around, I had to say hi to him 3-4 times for calling him and each time got ignored expect the last time, then finally got the menu from him. His attitude was like he was so upset that he received some costumer sitting and only drinking in a bar, ( btw the negroni was good tho ), But his behaviour sounded lil bit arrogant and racistic to me. I’ve been working in bar and restaurant industry for almost 4 years as a bartender and a manager, and didn’t expect this attitude from somewhere like savoy’s employee, he didn’t even say anything or answer me when I said bye to him. Hope the bartender takes it little bit easier and get an understanding from a meaning of costumer service, bar isn’t just u make a drink and give it to the costumer to drink it and behave as u like with...
