Had a simply delightful lunch at a pavement table during a quick visit in Helsinki.

Orderd at the bar for the lunch special (a salmon dish today) that was affordable and decent in size on its own although we opted for an extended salad-buffe and soup station (cherry tomato with ravioli on the side) with ~ 6 diffent bowls of sallads, grain and fruit. Everything super fresh and appetising looking. Salmon dish served to your table and was equally yummy! (2 lunch+extended salad-buffe incl 2 glasses of wine & coffee ~€75)

Had I lived in the area I'd come here for lunch daily, and judging from the line that stretched out the door for our entire ~1,5h vist, I am not alone in thinking this... Service allover is very attentive, and despite the popularity, waiting time was negligible and staff constantly clearing plates, bringing water and generally making your visit a joy. Highly recommended!

We (a group of four) went Pompier Espa on Saturday evening. The restaurant looked elegant, but also cosy and the atmosphere was welcoming to eat. Most of us chose to take the menu of the day which was really good decision. The portions were really good sized and the food was really delicious and the wines for the dishes were spot on chosen. The service was so polite and professional whole evening which made the dinner even more perfect. One of us had gluten free diet, but it wasn't any kind of problem. The staff made the some changes to the dishes so everyone could enjoy the food and the evening our waitress always notified that the gluten free diet was taken care for each dishes. Outstanding and delicious! We were in Helsinki for a mere 4 hours and in need of a good lunch with outdoor seating.

We had the lunch special which was made up of a salad bar and soup for starters (such a fresh and flavourful selection of salads accompanied by a rich cherry tomato soup and fresh bread) and the most perfectly cooked salmon with scrumptious mash and broccoli with a yoghurt herb sauce.

The hostess gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home in her establishment. The service was swift and efficient.

Once seated at a table in the sun I noticed that the queue never shortened to right out the door. It’s obvious why!

I highly recommend visiting Pompier. I’ll certainly go back if we’re here again.
