Cafe and Bakery Eromanga — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Visited the market square tent with a friend. We just wanted a little coffee and since Eromanga is a reasonably good bakery, we thought the coffee would be decent enough, too. If you've ever wondered how wrong you can be, work with this logic and find out.

How can coffee be this bad!? There is no excuse except that they really don't mind insulting their customers. Two decent espressos elsewhere would have cost less that these small, hot paper cups of oily filth did.

Maybe it was just bad luck on our part.

We went here 3 times during our time in Helsinki!! Loved this bakery that was right around the corner. Amazing service by the same older women who even remembered us and was so nice explaining different items. Recommended local favorite, meat pie. Which was packed full and in a slightly sweet crispy donut like. Amazing! Husband loved the salmon soup. Then the sugar butter buns and coffee were the best. Loved the cozy decor inside and local experience. Highly recommend!! Take your time in the morning to just relax and...

Got to try Runeberg (seasonal for a month), laskiaispulla (cream bun) and their famous lahapiirakka (meat pie). All were super delicious and home made feeling.

Store decor is old school and cosy, amongst the modern cafes in town. The lady working at the time was very friendly and helpful, and explaining which items are traditional and history.

Close to the old market and harbour. Highly recommend...
