Pizzeria Sopranos — Restaurant in Helsinki sub-region

Tried this place yesterday due to being close to my workplace but will probably not be going again...

When we arrived (around 18:30 on a Wednesday night) there were two (2) customers sitting in the restaurant waiting for their food. We were told the waiting time would be 25 min for 3 pizzas with next to no customers waiting before us.

The man working did his things like there were all the time in the world, without any signs of efficiency. Poorest customer service I've experienced in a very long, we didn't feel welcome at all, there were no courtesies, barely even a "Hello", just mumbling. It really felt like we were a burden for coming in ordering food.

After waiting ~15 minutes, the people who ordered their food after us got their food and left while we were still waiting. We ended up waiting for over 30 minutes in total for three pizzas. I would at least expect the kitchen to make the orders in the same order they arrive. Granted, there could've been pre-orders from e.g. foodora or Wolt, but only one or two people came by to pick up food-orders while we were waiting.

The food was ok in relation to the price, but the service was nowhere near what even basic customer service would need to be. Pushing out 7 pizzas in 30 min is a very slow pace. (Coming from someone having worked in the same...

This is how you lose potential customers: We went in to try the Vegaano pizza (under the kasvis/ vegaani menu section), which is apparently not vegan - luckily, I asked before paying what is the cheese used. It wasn’t mentioned on the menu anywhere to pay more over the said price of the vegaano pizza (13e). A staff already coldly said we need to pay extra 1 eur for sharing a pizza, then says we need to pay extra 3 eur if we want vegan cheese.

A vegan pizza should come with vegan cheese by default. So unless someone asks, they would use dairy? - then it’s simply NOT a vegan pizza. It could be a Vegetarian pizza (which is another option on the menu)

All I pointed out was that the name of the pizza is then misleading but the staff kept saying I was ‘wrong’ and no one else has complained about this (yes, because they assumed the vegan pizza is actually vegan🤦) .. and how they’ve worked here 10 years and this wasn’t an issue. Well, I don’t think you’ve had a vegan pizza on menu back then and now you mislead customers.

Many nice places to eat in Helsinki that actually know vegan means no animal products and don’t try blame customers when they point out making a change.

Needless to say, we won’t be recommending this...

The pizza was not good, especially the gluten-free one, which didn't taste nice at all. The extra price (5€) for it was outrageous and also advertised different online and on the front door where it said 3€.

The toppings on the pizzas weren't good either.

Unfortunatelypeople working there were unfriendly, and the guy seemed annoyed when he wrote down our order.

I can't recommend this place, and I wouldn't go...
