I had the pleasure of staying at Alpina in Chamonix, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure my stay was perfect. The hotel’s location is simply unbeatable, offering breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc massif. Waking up to the stunning alpine scenery was a dream come true. The rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, combining modern comfort with a cozy mountain vibe. One of the highlights of my stay was the buffet. The selection was outstanding, with something for everyone ( fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented). It was clear that great care was taken to use high-quality ingredients, and every meal was a delight. Additionally, the hotel’s amenities were top-notch. Whether relaxing in the lounge, enjoying a drink at the bar, or exploring the nearby attractions, everything about the experience was seamless. I would highly recommend Alpina to anyone visiting Chamonix. Whether you’re here for adventure, relaxation, or simply to soak in the incredible surroundings, this hotel is the perfect choice. Read moreThis was one of the worst restaurants I have visited. The service was shocking. The food was poor. One member of the party was missed out on every course leaving them to eat their starter or dinner long after everyone else had finished. Drinks orders were either forgotten, wrong or delayed. An hour and half wait between courses in a half empty restaurant was unacceptable. On the plus side, and the reason it got one star was that when we complained they reduced the bill with sincere apologies that it had been so bad. A shame really because the hotel itself it’s lovely and the rooms are well appointed. In all I would recommend staying in the hotel but avoid the 7th floor vista restaurant...
Read moreThe place was very nice. Most of the waiters were very nice, but they lack a little bit of professionalism in the way they treat the customers. The food itself was ok, not a high quality buffet, you could tell most of it is industrial food. It would be nice to see more local meals with fresh ingredients. The desserts were not that great. Alpina has a reputation on its own and the buffet it’s not to the same standards. It had potential to improve. But if you are looking a fast place to have a meal this is the place.
FYI: Unfortunately we had a table right next to the kitchen and the kitchen had rap music all night long, so it wasn’t ideal. Nevertheless we had...
