My experience with Munchie is as a guest with a group of colleagues. We were eleven people seated around the table which was organised as several tables set together.
To begin with, things went okay. The small dishes being served worked nice to share. The problems began when the main dishes arrived. With only one set of chopsticks each, it was obvious that the bowls containing the food should have some sort of cutlery. To be able to split the food down to each person. On several occasions we had to ask specifically for a spoon to use for sharing. Are you really expecting that everyone is going to use the chopsticks (which were already used earlier) into the main dish and then pass the rest around to your colleagues? And what about creating a dish that is actually shareable. One of the dishes was constructed as cabbage leaves (okay enough to share) but the composition was also to pieces of broccoli. How on earth are you going to be able to share this without having cutlery to assist in the chopping?
The finale was even worse. As dessert, everybody got their own spoon (!) and then the desserts were served in three bowls. Without any smaller plates. Just a spoon each and the three bowls of dessert. For eleven people!!! What is this? Are we suddenly like a kindergarten, where sharing everything is the most normal thing you can do?
After a personal blowout from me to the girl serving us (Sorry I yelled at you, but it wasn't personal) they removed the dessert and some time later replaced it with one small bowl each of the same dessert. Thank you!
I suspect the food they serve here tastes good. It does really. But when the concept is sharing non-shareable food and not taking into consideration how the group of guests are put together, this is really really awful.
If you ask me, now I know how the Covid-19 pandemic started. Or at least how it evolved.

Read moreWAITERS NEED TO LEARN FRENCH ! None of the waiters speak french so they are incapable of answering any questions and they just smile to you with no answers. You are in France you need to learn french even in Chamonix ! We were a table of 5 people and we had a tiny table where not everybody could fit and they were aware of it ! The service is slow and weirdly made, everybody at the table already had finished all of their dishes when one person at the table still didn't have the only dish he had ordered... Not nice watching everybody eating for 40 minutes and still have nothing The deserts are bad especially the truffles that are a literal JOKE ! The desert is 7€ you only have 2 truffles that are the size of marble (no exaggeration) ! Moreover the waitress wasn't even able to tell the correct flavor of the day ...
Overall the food was good but the experience was really bad because of the bad service which is sad for the chefs that are talented ! If you are french run away from this place I won't be talking about it nicely on social medias You should go to the Cap Horn which is the restaurant on the other side of...
Read moreTERRIBLE SERVICE. Heavily overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food served. Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere. Whilst 90% of the food served was edible, it was certainly nothing special. It took over 2 hours for a table of 8 people to be served all dishes. Dishes came out in 2 by 2s every 10 minutes or so. So when you order about 20 dishes, thats a very long wait!! The cod dish was awful and took the longest to arrive. We raised concerns about the delay with food with the waitress, but we got no indication of timeframe or an apology so asked for the manager - who in fact turns out to be one of the owners, she could not care less about the operation of her business and the disappointment of her customers. We can only go by our experience and therefore would recommend you to book an alternative restaurant to avoid ruining one of your evenings out in Chamonix. You can go to so many other lovely restaurants in the area, with great service and food. Definitely the worst restaurant we've been to...
