We’ve stayed in Chamonix for 5 days and this restaurant was the worst experience ever. Very arrogant stuff and owner. We were supposed to have a B-day dinner there and we made the reservation on email for 8 pm . When we came they said us that they gave our table, because they were waiting for us at 19:30, even the reservation was for 20:00. But this is not the biggest problem. We asked them to find a way to solve the problem and they were telling us that they have the table, but they don’t have 8 chairs :D and right after saying this, a couple came and told they have no reservation but they want a table for two and they gave the couple a table. So for us no chairs, but for the two people without reservation they’ve found chairs. When I asked about reclamation book, ofc they told they don’t have it, when I told I would find a way to complain about this attitude towards customers, they’ve laughed me in face and told me to do wherever I want. So they ruined our bday mood. Even when we talked to the owner he had the same arrogant and indifferent attitude. One more thing 😃 While waiting to solve the situation , we observed they were bringing food from Josephine, because we had dinner there the previous day, we noticed the dishes were the same and that they were crossing the street with the plates. Very dissapointing, I know they have this attitude because they are sure no matter what they’ll have clients, but I really believe in karma and I hope they will receive what...

Avoid this place on weekends! The location is beautiful, but unfortunately, the service is not only chaotic but also incredibly rude.

We joined our friends who had already ordered by the time we arrived. They informed the staff that there would be five of us, but the fifth chair never arrived. We asked a waitress (Federica) for one, but still nothing happened. Eventually, I had to get a chair and a menu myself.

We called the waitress and ordered two drinks and oysters. Only one drink arrived. We followed up with both our waiter and the runner who served the drink, but nothing came of it. The oysters never arrived either. Some of our friends had to leave early and asked to settle the bill while we were still waiting for my drink and food.

To our surprise, the waitress decided to cancel the oysters without even consulting us. When we questioned her, she claimed it was “logical” to do so. She kept offering strange justifications for her actions and failed to explain why my drink and food weren’t served. Worse, the waiter was very aggressive and dismissive throughout the ordeal, making the experience even more unpleasant.

Our last day in Chamonix was ruined. I left without a drink, food, or even a single kind word from any of the staff. The service seemed completely...

Having been to Joséphine last night and having had such a wonderful experience, considering they are owned by the same person, Rose du Pont was a disappointment. The decor is stunning and the atmosphere is charming. The wine list and food menu are great. The service however, was poor. Where the servers at Joséphine were lovely and friendly, the servers at Rose du Pont were cold and borderline arrogant. My vegetarian curry was interesting. I've never eaten beetroot in a curry before. There was only a little bit of sauce around the outside, way too much rice, bland carrot, undercooked parsnip (again, in curry..?), but tasty roast pumpkin. My husband chose the duck, which came with jus and mash and was very delicious. No veg though. My Chardonnay had a fault, which I pointed out and was laughed at a bit. A difference between old world, where they appreciate faults and new world, where we like clean wines. We left feeling underwhelmed. Such a shame for such a beautiful place. A note to the owner/manager: less staff on a quiet shift makes for more motivation and better service. Everyone tonight seemed to just be looking busy when they weren't chatting or on...

Listen - the French get such a bad rap because of stupid stereotypical roles played by some nobody in a movie. It's really a disappointment. The level of service, the quality of food and the atmosphere and ambiance of Rose Dupont was PHENOMENAL. Really. It was. The gentleman that waited our table was a CLASS ACT and ensured that we would have an amazing experience. The food - wonderful. The atmosphere - top notch The service - excellent The people - They're French - how can you not love them for all that they are. If you've been enough places in France, you will find that this is universal. The French put so much focus on you having an amazing experience that the only way you can have a negative experience in France is to have a closed mind. The French are warm, hospitable, kind, genuine... I could continue on but anything I would write would be an injustice to years of culture, passion, refinement and a number of other qualities that would take forever to type. Anyone that tells you they've had a bad experience in France or with the French has missed France and the French.

Nestled in the heart of the city, Rose Du Pont is a true gem that combines elegance with culinary excellence. As soon as you step foot into the stunning building, you’re transported to a world of sophistication and charm. The architecture is simply breathtaking, with intricate details and a timeless beauty that sets the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Now, let’s talk about the food – it’s nothing short of extraordinary. The menu boasts a delightful selection of dishes, but one that truly stole the show for me was the schnitzel. Each bite was a symphony of flavors and textures – the crispy coating giving way to tender, juicy meat inside. Paired with perfectly cooked sides, it was a culinary masterpiece that left me craving more. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to indulge in exquisite cuisine, Rose Du Pont is the place to be. With its breathtaking ambiance, delectable food, and top-notch service, it’s no wonder it’s a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Do yourself a favor and book a table – you won’t be disappointed.

This place is beautiful! Lovely view of Mon Blanc if you sit on the main side of the building. French onion soup was alright, and for some oysters that weren’t bad either. Unfortunately, I had ordered the ceaser salad and was not a fan, I left it untouched for the most part other than the little bit I tried and didn’t like. A waiter never came around until I flagged them for a check which I know is standard in Europe but when I told our waitress the my apologies but didn’t like the salad she felt the need to lecture me on how I should’ve told her right away I didn’t like the salad because they could’ve saved it… how am I supposed to know if I like the salad until I try it and you’re gonna serve that to someone else?? That’s gross and raised a red flag to me. Secondly, it’s not like the salad was all eaten then I got the lecture you could perfectly see I didn’t eat it. Overall a very weird experience with a very annoyed waitress.
