Awful awful! I saw reviews saying the place got better since previous bad reviews. And most of the bad reviews were about service, not food. Both were absolutely terrible. But it wasn't the servers' fault! The business is greedy. They're trying to make as much money as they can in a short time. Not enough staff, too many seats. I waited 35 minutes to order. When I ordered it took over an hour to get my steak which had bones in it and was clearly sitting for at least 30 minutes. There was a burnt bug on my potato wedges! The cocktails are great but that's it. The business has so much potential, it's sad. It's a beautiful looking place. While I was there, almost everyone around me complained. The staff were so overworked. I felt really bad for them. One staff member had her child with her. She looked like she was going to cry from stress. She was wearing a hat. She should get a raise. She was great but she was trying to manage 50 tables at a time. It's impossible to make people happy that way! This place will go under I'm the coming years and will be replaced if they keep this up.

I had to spit out my cold steak several times due to bones and pieces of what looked like plastic.

One man near me complained about waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes for his food. They brought it right away, but cold.

Another couple got very angry due to waiting 45 minutes for their food only to be told THEN that they were out of the food they ordered.

The unprofressionalism is crazy.

Again, the waitresses and the cocktail bartender were great, but they're dealing with a really badly planned business. I blame the boss and manager. It comes down to them. Such a shame. It could be the best place in town but instead it's over crowded, inefficient and...

Slow service. We arrived with only 3 other patrons. We waited nearly 1.5hours before being served appetizers and this is only after we inquired about our order. Several patrons arrived after us and were served their appetizers and meal. This place seems to be very disorganized in who receives their orders in a timely fashion.

Drinks: Mimosa was great Sex on beach was great.

Appetizer: Chicken springs were delicious. Chicken liver dish was delicious.

Dinner: Salmon with rice was delicious.

Even if you do not arrive hungry, you will be STARVING by the time the food finally hits the table.

Come to find out, our server NEVER placed our order. And then never explained why the order was delayed.

Very Poor Communication.

The food was very delicious but the service was SO POOR........ my tastebuds and my emotional attitude is confused!! This will be the...

The place looked nice and cosy, but our experience was far from it. On a rainy evening, we sat outside and waited ages to order, despite several waiters passing by multiple times. When we finally got the "right" waiter, he asked for our drink order, but we hadn't even received the drink menu yet. The whole ordering process took almost half an hour.

The duck was disappointing. We ordered it medium, but it was rare in the middle and cut into big chunks, making it chewy and ruining the cherry sauce with all the juice on the plate.

The entire experience felt unfriendly and challenging. The manager grabbed the menu without a word, and other customers were waiting endlessly, even after ordering twice. The service was awkward and uncoordinated. Despite the name "Speakeasy," it was anything but. Unfortunately, we can't...

After dragging ourselves all over town to find a dinner spot on this holiday weekend, we stumbled into Speakeasy on our FOURTH attempt. Although the spot was packed, we were greeted immediately and sat without wait. The food was amazing. Many of the dishes are typical Burgundian finds, but also some others with a bit of fusion. The hostess/waitresses spoke flawless english and the food came out much faster than expected. And let me tell ya, it was phenomenal. We tried the escargots, beef tartar, entrecote and thr taikki tuna. All amazing and very well plated. In some parts of the world, I imagine food this good to be forbidden. So next time you're hungry and looking for a hassle free french / local nice dining experience, stop by Speakeasy!

The bad reviews could have made sense a while ago but this place now cannot receive less than 4 stars at least. I had there one of the best meals I ever had in my life. Everything was amazing, entrée, main and dessert. The wine I ordered was on the lower end of the price range but was excellent. The girl taking the orders (in a yellow tshirt) did look impatient /upset but she might have been having a bad day, because I was services by 3 or 4 different people and they all were extremely polite and kind. Kept coming back to ask if I needed anything etc, and the place was packed. Again, the food was amazing, you can go there without thinking twice, it’s very likely that you you will have a great experience there.
