I recently dined at Restaurant ZOA in Cannes, and I must say it was a truly disappointing experience from start to finish. I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction with the hope that others can avoid a similar ordeal.
From the moment we walked in, the arrogance of our waiter was palpable. He practically threw our appetizers onto the table, and it only went downhill from there. The sashimi we ordered was served warm, which is a glaring error for a dish that should be served chilled. To make matters worse, the salmon tartare was drowned in a mango dressing, completely overwhelming any subtle flavors the dish might have had.
For our main course, I ordered my steak medium well-done, but when it arrived, it was still entirely red in the center. When I pointed this out to our waiter, he casually mentioned that it had been mistakenly prepared as medium rare. He took both of our plates back to the kitchen, but not before loudly slamming our side dish of mashed potatoes back on the table as if it were an afterthought.
After a few minutes had passed, I inquired about the status of our steaks. I also mentioned that, since our mashed potatoes had now turned cold, we would appreciate it if they could be reheated. To my astonishment, our waiter responded by suggesting that we were creating a new problem by complaining about the now-chilled mashed potatoes. I decided to check on the progress myself and saw our steaks coming out of the kitchen. To my dismay, I also witnessed our waiter simply returning the cold mashed potatoes to the same plate with our reheated steaks.
I had to escalate the issue to the manager, a man with a long beard. He offered his apologies, but the damage was already done. Our steaks were tough, and the mashed potatoes was thick and unappetizing. This entire experience was utterly dreadful, especially considering that we were paying €37 for each steak. La serveuse me ramène la bourrata Sans pain sans vinaigre balsamique sans huile d’olive . Je commence à manger puis je demande à quelqu’un d’autre du pain. Je découvre que la bouratta est dans un bain d’huile d’olive alors que le premier jour où je suis venu elle m’était servie avec uniquement du pesto ! le directeur des lieux il me dit que c’est comme ça Hors que j’ai déjà déjeuner ici et j’avais pas eu de soucis d’assaisonnement . J’essaye de lui faire comprendre que sur les photos de l’autre jour normalement l’huile est sur la table !! Et rajouter que je ne paierai pas cette bouratta et que si la prochaine fois que je viens c’est pareil je ne réglerais pas !
