Angolo Italiano — Restaurant in Grasse

Possibly the worst restaurant experience possible. Upon greeting the waitress and asking for a table for 2 people, she blatantly ignored us and proceeded to clean tables instead of bringing in new customers. We then sat at a table (filthy and still not cleared) for two people whereby we waited for a staff member to bring us a menu for almost 10 minutes. No waiter came so we approached one asking for a menu, he came down and cleared our table, while we presumed he would also bring a menu, which he did not. After approximately 25 minutes of sitting at the table we waited for a menu which we did not receive. Another couple who were French arrived at this point and sat beside us who were greeted politely and given menus straight away, before they even got a chance to sit down. The food was terrible. I got the carbonara pasta and it was undercooked and chewy. The sauce was very salty. My friend got the ravioli which was alright but it was a very small portion for the price. The service was decent however, they seated us right next to a couple in a very awkward spot. The staff were constantly having to squish past our table to get to the register/bar area which made me feel uncomfortable and like I was in the way. The food was good, lasagne, and pasta. But the pasta could have been cooked a little longer, kind of chewy. The service is not so good, as we sat down looking at menu and the waiter asked first question, what would you like to drink ? Before ordering food, and we ordered water and coke. We waited like 30 minutes to get drinks and the restaurant is not full, people came later than us, and they got drinks first. The food was served like 10 minutes before drinks.
