Alchimie — Restaurant in Paris

For the first time in Paris and after a very long flight and a difficult day, I decided to find a good hookah in this area. Many websites recommended this place as one of the best. Considering that our hotel is close, I decided to go here. A very cozy, small restaurant, despite the fact that today was Monday and it was 23:00, almost all the seats were occupied. My friend and I ordered a hookah and tea with lemon and honey (by the way, it’s very tasty). Honestly, the choice of tobacco is very poor, only 4-5 flavors of Adalya and Al Fakher tobacco... Compared to the hookah industry in our country and the huge selection of tobacco, hookah here is most likely not very popular. Well, the shisha bottle are small, so you won’t get much pleasure from smoking.

But tell the truth , hookah is not the main thing in this restaurant; here the atmosphere of coziness and comfort is created by the staff and service. The girls who serve you are very nice, beautiful and friendly. They will answer any of your questions with a smile. The service is very fast, the guy who prepares the hookahs is also a master of his small business!

If you are a sophisticated hookah lover and you constantly smoked Darkside, Must have, Tangiers and the like, then you will be disappointed here)) And if you just want to have a good time with a hookah, in a great place where you will be welcome, then this is the place.

Welcome to Alchimie, the most celebrated chicha/shisha/nargile/hookah place in Paris. They focus and they do alright.

Delivery of Shisha was incredibly fast which tells me they’re properly set up.

Pipes are high quality and they use natural coals and an HMD (kaloud) which delivers a decent smoke.

They seem to focus on a small handful of flavours, Adalya: Love 66, Hawaii, Mi Amor, Swiss Bonbon and Al-Fakher: Mint and Apple which is unfortunately not a full range but maybe done to maintain quality and length of smoke.

My Shisha lasted about 2 hours which is a good smoke. Cost for the Shisha, 18€, coca cola, 5€, Evian, 5€.

Overall top marks for service, quality and enjoyment. Wish they had a bigger range of tobaccos.

Would I come back? Likely to come back as there is a dearth of options in Paris. I don’t see Social Smoke, Starbuzz, Darkside or Meduse pipes represented in the country. Maybe an...

This was one of the best shisha experiences I have had. In Paris there are not alot of places where you can smoke shisha as a woman and be comfortable. My wife and I chose this place out of the many places in Paris and had a fantastic experience.

We were welcomed with genuine big smiles, we met some great people and the staff were amazing. Sherif the owner of the restaurant also sat down with us and told us about the reason behind the name of the restaurant and why Alchiemie is the way it is. He also told us about what spots to go to, to get a real Paris feel (not the general tourist attractions).

The Shisha was smooth and the Oreo milkshake was just right. Don't forget the mint tea. Vere very very good!!!
