Le Maine Café — Restaurant in Paris

Stopped in for lunch with a few friends. Since I don’t eat meat I understand that I have limited choices on menus. The lady that came to the table informed us that she was taking all drinks and food orders “right now” and was visibly irritated when we quickly scanned the menu. We had only been seated for 3-4 minutes. I ordered a beer and French fries (which was well over the 10euro minimum). She started getting loud stating that they only serve meals and not snacks. Since fries were listed in print for 6euro on the menu I pointed to the menu and stated that everything else was a meat dish. She then informed that she was going to give me pasta and spinach. I told her no I would have fries and a beer. When she stated again (loudly) that I was going to have pasta! I walked out. Found a lovely place with much better options a few...

I went here for lunch because there was such a long queue at the Boulangerie, and I am really glad I did. It is not the first time I have been here as I live around the corner. I had the Chef's Club Sandwich, and it was delicious. I can highly recommend it. The atmosphere is lovely with lots of happy people enjoying their lunch. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is excellent. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Update: This is still a nice place to go, but I noted they have switched from bottled Ketchup to fiddly little sachets. I know it is a small thing, but this is a French Bistro. If I want fries and sachets of sauce, I'll go to MacDonalds! Clearly, the management have decided to focus more on profiteering than their customer's...

I visited this restaurant today with my family. We were enjoying our food and then I came across a FLY which had been cooked in my food. We were all disgusted and the rest of my family were put off their food and couldn’t finish. We informed the staff and they just walked away with the plate. The manager did not bother to come over or any other member of staff to apologise. When we eventually got the managers attention she said we MUST pay for it and treated us with police. One member of staff (man) even smashed a glass and threatened us! I will never ever visit this restraunt again !! The only understanding member of staff was our waitress who served us - her...
