Very bad, uneatable steak but they refused to take responsibility. Awful owners.
To reply: Hi, it is sad to see that you still do not apologize. I see that your english is not good so maybe you did not understand me that well that day but let me make you remember how it was and clarify the event once and for all.
I came with my family to your restaurant for lunch. All of us had ordered different things. After my steak was delivered i tried to eat it and it was not possible to eat it, so i have called the waitress and asked her to change it. After that you have taken the plate and put it aside. We have waited for 25-30 minutes and there was no new steak coming. Also you did not contact me even though you were the only person other than the waitress.
So we have asked for the bill, and i have paid it. I did never ask for a refund-not to pay or anything. Why would i just go to a restaurant, order food, not eat it and not pay it? what is the gain on that? Please confirm with your waitress.
After that we decided to get out since we are tourists. of course i was angry. I was not delivered food after all! When we were getting out, you came with a smile on your face and said that now you had ordered a new steak for yourself, and test it to see that i was wrong. I said it is too late, if you want to taste, just taste my plate it is just staying over there. you declined it said that you knew my type. Now i dont even go to details to what that means. You cant tell this to people you never know of. After that i stopped talking since it is a waste of time, this conversation was worthless after that point.
So to summarize, i never asked for not paying it (and i have paid). In the end i could not eat anything. Your behaviour was very ugly and i did not want to spend any of my time with you anymore. And now i just write this comment for your future customers to at least know what may expect them.
Your restaurant is the only bad memory about our Paris tour. I have been traveling for almost 20 years now due to my job and have been in many different places and restaurants. Some were good and some were bad but none of them had such an attitute to a customer. This is why you deserved my first comment on google, and i will now create comments also on other platforms that i have never commented on, because now as addition to behave in an ugly way,...
Read moreJust off the main road of Madeline, you get a pop of electric atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. Needless to say, I had a little giddiness despite my run of lackluster experiences in the Parisan restaurant world since coming to France.
As an american living abroad, service is always a concern. Here, it was fabulous! Warm greeting, and a quick switch to English that carried the same bright and charismatic welcoming. Seating was brisk and menus were provided promptly. Ample time given to decide the pace of the meal without being hounded every 2 minutes after sitting down like some of the more notable places in the area have done.
Don't speak French? Me either! No worries here as an English menu is provided. I started this culinary adventure with some happy hour cocktails, which are reasonably priced and quite enjoyable. After some healthy dabbling in liquor land, it was time to get my grub on.
Spoiler, I've been here a few times now so the rest of the review will reflect my sentiment. Keep that in mind!
THE PORKCHOP! Yes, it can only be referenced in all caps. This was more than a piece of meat on a plate, it was rich and soo delicious! It didn't need any extra bells and whistles, it had a glow all of its own.
How about the burgers? Well, they're everywhere in Paris and not all are created equal. Many places will simply press some paste into a mold, toss it on the grill and smack, a flavorless overpriced immatation of what you were hoping would have been burger bliss. Arty knows how to make a real patty and craft a moment that takes you back to the days of hamburger glory.
At the end of the day, the decor is spot on and the food won't leave you upset. Try it once, try it twice, you'll be...
