Brasserie Sixtine — Restaurant in Paris

I was excited to go to the restaurant after a long day of travel. The interior- modern sleek looking and fine. The bar was dark when we got there. Looks like it hasn’t been open for quite some time. The menu was small, a lot of the past commented/ rates items were not on the menu. All the food that we ordered was lukewarm at best. We ordered the escargots dumplings which were almost like they were warmed in a toaster oven. Cool on the inside but warmer and crispy on the outside. The entrecôte also came out warm like it was sitting outside for a while before it got served. We didn’t even finish it cause it had no salt or seasoning. The service wasn’t great (there were only 3 other tables at the time) and we felt very ignored. We came here for a special night out in Paris and it did not disappoint. The food was terrific, and the service was great. Our waiter Michel was super accommodating, and explained everything on the menu in English. He always had a smile and genuinely wanted to make sure we were having a good night. The food - We started with the salmon tartar and the mushroom soup - the soup was great! Then we had the veal and the trout. I personally preferred the veal sandwiched in the amazing potato latkes, but my husband said the trout was also very good. Dessert - The caramel tart-let was probably one of the best desserts I have ever had!!! The pineapple one was also good, but the tart really was out of this world. The food is good, but if you don't speak French you should expect to wait (a lot) for someone to come to take your order and bring the food. I've been there on a business lunch, with 2 guests. After we placed the order we waited 45 minutes for someone to come with the food. At some point we asked about it and they brought directly the main course. We have ordered 3 starters also, that haven't arrived. We asked again for the starters, then they brought the main course and in the end we ordered 3 desserts. After other 15 minutes, the same waiter who took the order for the dessert came and ask if we want any coffee or dessert..... And we also waited in the end to pay, because no one was there anymore. We were the first ones to arrive and the last ones to leave, after 2 hours. We received 50% discount, but still.... the service was below any...
