After our visit to the Louvre, we searched 'Crêpe near me' on Google. Since it has a 4.7 average rating, we decided to visit the restaurant. We ordered 1 x Eiffel Tower, 2 x Versailles Savory Crêpe and 1 Banana and Chocolate Sweet Crêpe together with 2 milkshakes. All was good until half way eating, we found a strand of hair or brown string, which we hope is not a cockroach leg, in the bacon of the Versailles crêpe.
We showed it to the kind waiter who immediately took the dish away and showed it to the boss who wasn't pleased with our 'complaints'. We thought a replacement would be on its way and waited about 15 mins when the rest of us had finished our food. Upon following up with the waiter, to our surprise, nobody is planning to give us a replacement, then we requested to take the offending dish off our bill as we needed to get going to visit other places. From what we saw, the boss refused to take it off the bill and the kind waiter came back to ask if we would like us to wait for the replacement and take it away with us. Declining his offer, he went back to discuss with his other colleagues and there was some fuss in deducting the amount from our bill and we waited another 10 mins just to get it.
For any restaurant, food hygiene and safety should be a top priority. Out of goodwill we never took any photo of the "evidence", and we are regretting now as pictures speak louder than words.
Looking at how the 'boss' reacted to our complaint and the lack of apology, I would not recommend this...
Read moreOur family visited Creperie Parisienne for breakfast. We chose this Creperie based on Google reviews but unfortunately I would not only not recommend but say avoid. Initially service seemed fine but I didn't like that after ordering, a member of staff came to the table with various pastries (croissant, pan au chocolate etc.) offering them as if free. This is a common scam for tourists as if you accept they are added to the bill and are not cheap! We said no. There was only ourselves and one other family in the restaurant and still they didn't bring one of our drinks. When going to the till to pay, they walked off and over to our table to check what to charge for. Although clearly one coffee cup short on the table, it was still added to the bill. It was taken off when we mentioned we didn't receive it. The crepes themselves looked good but tasted very average and although we are happy to pay a bit more in a touristy location, they were simply not worth it at all. We ate out for all our meals whilst in Paris and this was the only place we felt they were really trying to take advantage of tourists. Its a shame when the food isn't great but when you feel they are doing there best to take advantage it reflects badly on the memory of the whole trip....
Read moreTHIS PLACE IS A TOURIST TRAP. FOR ALL THE TOURISTS WHO WILL COME DURING THE OLYMPICS - please do not make the mistake of going to this place. They are cheaters and liars and we have informed the police of their acts. They bring croissants baskets to the table when you sit as if it is complimentary. Don’t say anything when you act surprised and then charge you 12€ at the end of it. When you ask why they are absolutely rude and say “it is a suggestion”, why did you eat it. BECAUSE YOU BROUGHT IT AND PUT IT ON THE TABLE WITHOUT US ORDERING FOR IT. We checked with the locals to see if it is normal and they said we got cheated. We will be filling a formal complaint with the police as well for this fraud. LEAVES THE WORST IMPRESSION OF PARISIANS FOR VISITORS. THESE GUYS SHOULD BE ARRESTED.
UPDATE - In response to the owners rude feedback below: I don’t know any place in the world where someone brings and places food on a customers table without any remarks or it being ordered. When bread is placed at any restaurant, customers think it is complementary and expected to be eaten. Other customer reviews on this page show they all feel cheated by you as well. Maybe you should go eat at other actual restaurants one day to experience worldwide...
