If i could give this place 0 stars i would. My 4 friends and i chose this place to celebrate my friends birthday. We entered the restaurant and immediately felt as if we were being judged by the staff. All went well until we received 4/5 meals. One of my friends didn’t receive her meal and after 5-10 mins of us all waiting to eat (while the food was getting cold) the rest of us began to eat and we were practically finished by the time her food came. When we politely addressed this to the waiter, he answered us very passively and blamed it on the fact that she had an entrée (which made no sense). After that we see him go to the kitchen, which was open, and the waiter and the kitchen staff begin pointing and laughing. Food was very mediocre and all in all this really ruined our night, we all felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave. I had even cancelled my last drink because i was so repulsed by the service we just received. Save your money and...
Read moreI had a disappointing experience with Giulia Paris, which fell far short of expectations, especially considering the premium reputation of the restaurant.
I made a reservation on Sunday, 27th April for the evening of 3rd May. On the day of the booking, the restaurant texted asking me to confirm, which I did. They then called me—though I missed the call initially, I promptly tried to return it multiple times before finally speaking to someone and confirming the reservation. Shortly after, I received another call asking me to move the booking 30 minutes earlier, from 9:00 PM to 8:30 PM, due to weather conditions and a high volume of reservations. I agreed, trying to be accommodating.
However, when we arrived, we were seated at the worst table in the restaurant—right by the door. It was extremely drafty, with people constantly coming in and out. We were then told that the restaurant was hosting an event that evening, which had not been mentioned in any of the calls. This event clearly limited the seating space, and I strongly suspect this was the real reason for pushing our reservation earlier.
The atmosphere was also lacking—it was the first seating of the evening, very quiet, and there was no music or entertainment, which contradicted the lively ambiance Giulia usually promotes. I asked to be moved to a better table but was told the one I requested had to be returned by 10 PM and that I needed to order quickly.
After all the back and forth leading up to our visit, the lack of transparency about the event, poor seating, and lack of atmosphere, we ultimately decided not to dine there and left. At this level, I would expect at least a minimum standard of service and honesty. Unfortunately, we didn’t...
Read moreGood place, but overall, I found it overpriced—even by Paris standards. We paid over €130 per person without ordering excessive amounts, just some pasta, meat, and the cheapest wine option. While the quality was decent, the price didn’t quite match the experience. It’s clear that part of what you’re paying for is the atmosphere and access to the downstairs disco. The ambiance is nice, but the club felt more about “postureo” (as we say in Spain)—focused on image and social status rather than pure enjoyment. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but something to keep in mind depending on what you’re looking for. One key recommendation: if you plan to go to the club after dinner, book the third and last seating. The restaurant operates in three dining shifts, which is unusual, and we mistakenly thought the second one (10:30 PM) was the last. However, we were asked to leave at midnight, and the club only starts getting lively around 1 AM. To make the most of your night, the best option is to dine in the last seating so you can seamlessly transition to the club, which stays open until 6 AM. Overall, a good spot, but mostly for those who value the scene and the experience over...
