I stayed for 5 nights at Francois 1er last month and was deeply disturbed by your staff at the breakfast area. There were 2 Asian workers who greeted me when I went down on the first day (25th march) for breakfast. After serving me coffee, he proceeded to show me the songs he downloaded on his phone and continued to harass me to purchase a free download card for him. He is an employee of the hotel and such action is totally unacceptable and inappropriate. After I ignored him and said I am busy, he walked away but came back again to show me the songs on his phone. I left without finishing my breakfast. |His disturbance caused a lot of discomfort in me and I did not dare to go down for breakfast for next 4 days of my stay there. I did not dare to order breakfast in room as well lest he discovers which room I am in. I did not complain on site the very same day as I worry he might gang up with other staff to make things difficult for me during my stay at the hotel. Besides this incident, the aircon vent of my room 407 was so noisy, rattling the whole night and I could not sleep at all. I’ve a video of that, recording the sound and let the concierge staff listened. He changed my room for 28th and 29th when I rechecked in. There were many times when I left or enter the hotel with my big baggage(s) but no staff assisted in any way. I am very disappointed in hotel Francois 1er at 7 Rue Magellan, Paris, France, 75008. This is No premium hotel at all but most importantly you MUST discipline that Asian staff who harass your in house guests. ||I've since received a reply from Stephanie addressing this issue that "For your information since last Monday he went on long-term sick leave."||However, I question which staff and how would Stephanie know which staff mentioned was the problematic one? ||To conclude, there was no compensation of any sort offered and no remedy could be provided now. I maintain the impression I have of Hotel Francois 1er and would definitely discourage any traveller(s) from staying here despite its...
Read moreI have been to many hotels in Paris and I can easily say that Francois 1er is one of my best stays so far. For first-time visitors to Paris, it has the best location: it's very close to the metro station Georges V and a few steps away from the famous busy Champs-Elysees. (Yet the hotel street was very calm, good for sleep and rest.)
The lobby interiors are very cozy, French chic, as well as the rooms. I especially liked the marble bathroom with a large bathtub. The service is quite attentive and hospitable, where they serve you every day with chocolate treats and water bottles. I guess the owner is Lebanese, which may explain the many Arab clientele that stayed at the hotel.
As for the breakfast, it is a little restraint, but it has all that you basically need.
The only remark I would have is that the soundproofing is really bad. I could literally know which channel they were watching in the other room. At 1:00 am I even heard the alarm and luggage noises. It may be standard to have the same problem in other Parisian hotels, but here I felt it was paper-thin. But this detail stays minor comparing to all the other positive things about...
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at Hotel François 1er! From the moment we arrived, Noel Lumbres and the entire team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We arrived a bit early, and they kindly accommodated an early check-in.
Throughout our stay, Noel was incredibly helpful—offering advice about getting around Paris, assisting with transportation, and always available with a warm smile and helpful suggestions. On our departure day, we had a very early flight, and the team thoughtfully offered us take-out breakfasts from their lovely breakfast buffet, which was such a considerate touch.
The service here is truly top-notch, and the hospitality made our trip even more special. We highly recommend Hotel François 1er and would absolutely stay here again. Thank you to Noel and the team for such a...
