I had such a wonderful experience. The owner couple were so warm and friendly. The owners don't speak english, but the waitress does and she was super attentive to all our needs. We ordered the 4 course menu; shrimp and avocado in lemon and safran sauce, duck and vegetable cake, cheese plate, caramel creme. The vegetable cake was especially tasty, but the cheese platter was a little too much for us😂 Maybe reducing the cheese a bit and adding some jambon and crackers would be better? We also ordered the wine menu. The pairing seemed a bit off sometimes and the wine itself weren't fabulous, but it was a great way for beginners like us to taste wines from different regions in France. They were generous enough to offer a second glass of dessert wine. Overall, a reasonably priced restaurant to have some good food and wine in a lovely warm atmosphere! Merci!

My wife and I own a winery. Food, wine, and pairings of food and wine are very important to us. We got a fixed price 4-course meal with wine pairings at each course. It was BRILLIANT! Here are a couple of examples:
Course 1: Cold shrimp in a vinegarette with red peppers, cracked pepper and cilantro was served with a chilled Provence Rose. Perfection. The flavors "tingled" all over my tongue.
Course 2: Roast duck breast (rare) served with a Cabernet Franc/ Merlot from the Loire. Fabulous pairing.
One of the best wine and food pairings of my life for desert. A very acidic custard and berry tart with a late harvest white. The desert was very tart on its own and the white was a tad heavy. Together it was a symphony of...
Read moreA small restaurant operated by the owners, this place offers a perfect gourmet experience for the visitor. In sharp contrast to almost all other touristy places offering 15 euro set menus, in Grains Nobles you can choose either a 4 or a 5 course tasting menu (4 course price was 39 euros at the time of writing). For an additional 25 euros, a wine pairing will compliment the courses. All courses and the accompaining wines were exquisite. Just superb, really. The atmosphere and the owners English could do with a bit of improvement, but the food... Oh. My. God. And don't be fooled by the term "tasting menu" - the servings were more than generous, and the wine for each course was a solid glass of wine. Don't miss out on this hidden gem in the...
