We popped in for a late lunch around 2:30pm today, so thankfully missed the main lunch rush. I'd walked past this restaurant on my way back to the hotel earlier in the day and it had looked packed, so needless to say I had to pop in to see what all the fuss was about!
We opted to sit inside, having to pass the very delicous looking cakes as we made our way through the door (tragically, wasn't able to eat any after lunch. Oh no.... we'll have to come back.... haha). The waiter who served us was attentive and worked with some dietary preferences for my sister (thank you waiter! I'm sorry I didn't get your name).
I opted to order a cheeky mid-afternoon cocktail in addition to lunch - much to the horror of my mother (bless her). I ordered the Ginger beer margarita, and felt it was a very well made cocktail. It was a risky choice on my part as I am generally not a fan of ginger beer. While I would order a different drink next time, I would still recommend this to anyone who thinks it might be yummy.
Mum ordered the veggie bowl and was so taken with it she finished the whole dish, and she normally eats like a bird. 10/10 on the veggie bowl from my mum and I think if we get the chance to come back before we leave Paris, I would order it as well. It looked awesome.
My sister and I both ordered the H.A.N.D. burger, though made some alterations with food preferences and both of us were very happy with our choice.
I loved the atmosphere here, the waiters and the staff. After a busy day walking around Paris, and while feeling particularly hungry, the H.A.N.D. restaurant was a lovely experience. Thank you...
Read moreI am truly suprised this place is still in business And has not been shut down by the health department. The first time I came, my friend found a thick black hair embedded IN her cheesecake. When she complained to the waiter he suggested perhaps it was her own (she is blonde !) and didn't offer to replace it. She had to make a fuss to get him to take it away and get him not to charge for it. Truly shocking unpro behavior. I went back several years later and not much has changed: I was greeted on arrival by a long line of diners waiting in line to pay while the main room was full with dirty tables waiting to be cleaned. We had to wait until the waiter processed all the bills and then we were made to sit at a dirty table and handed a menu- we had to ASK for the table to be cleaned. When we ordered they were out of a lot of things and when my order came it came with the wrong sides and the eggs were Luke warm as if they had been sitting out! While I ate they sprayed and cleaned the tables to moth sides of me with bleach. Had to wait 29 minutes to get the bill and then had to get up to pay- really du expensive "self service"! I hope I don't get sick. Stay away from this...
Read moreI first came here with my parents and my brother five years ago, we loved it and it was our favorite go to spot when we were on our trip. But I came back with one of my friends as I study here in Paris. And they sat us in the corner room on the windows. The food was OK it wasn't horrible but it wasn't amazing. Also the service was pretty good, but I just thought it was really weird that they were sitting everyone in this really small claustrophobic room versus their massive dining area. It was almost like they were choosing who to sit where based on appearances. As they were seating older guests in the main dining room but then younger guests in the small little box room. I honestly don't even know if it's legal how many people that they sat in the small room especially during coronavirus times. But again the food was pretty good and the...
