Le serveur etait tres d’esagreable!
On Sunday December 11th around 7pm, my friend and I were in Paris for work. We come to Paris at least once a month for work actually and we love to explore everything the city has to offer including all the amazing food. We are worldly and cultured, therefore can blend well everywhere we go. We decided to go Kirane’s first time, and last, after having spent time at the Marché de Noël de la Défense. We were welcomed by what seemed the owners and busboy and the food was good but our waiter was unprofessional, rude and condescending, the reason we will never return to this restaurant. I don’t expect someone to be friendly and smiley, which he was far from but professional and courteous is basic in the waiting table business. While I had few questions about the menu he interrupted me half sentence to tell me the other chicken was better. He was impatient and could not care less about my curiosity of one entree or another. At the end we asked the nice busboy about the bill and if we should pay it at the bar or at the table. The next thing we see was a silver box with the bill in it dropping before our eyes, dropped and bounced. It was unbelievable. Finally, we were paying our bill with him standing by our table and their credit card machine wasn’t reading my contactless card so he had had to insert it. I told him it was contactless but before I could finish the sentence he interrupted me yet again to tell me he knew and that my card didn’t work contactless. What a miserable little man. Never once all night, to us or others did the even soften his face. We wanted to leave gratuity as we always do to show appreciation for service but I felt robbed already from any business I gave after the outcome, our waiter went above and beyond to show us that we and our business weren’t not welcomed. With all the amazing restaurants in Paris I will definitely not miss this restaurant and will not forget the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Kirane’s in Porte-Maillot, Paris, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I entered, the warm and inviting atmosphere stood out, combining elegant decor with a cozy ambiance that made for a relaxed dining experience. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering thoughtful recommendations that made me feel well taken care of throughout the meal.
I ordered the Royal saumon hara, which turned out to be a highlight of the evening. The salmon was perfectly cooked—tender and flaky, with a vibrant blend of spices that gave it a unique depth of flavor. It was beautifully complemented by the creamy, herb-infused sauce, adding a refreshing contrast that elevated each bite. It was clear that a lot of attention had gone into balancing the flavors, making it a truly memorable dish.
The garlic naan was an excellent accompaniment to the main course. It arrived fresh and warm, with a soft, pillowy texture and just the right amount of garlic to enhance the overall taste without being overpowering. I found myself savoring each bite, using the naan to scoop up every bit of the delicious sauce.
Beyond the food, the service at Kirane’s was impeccable. The staff’s friendly demeanor and quick service ensured that I had everything I needed without ever feeling rushed. It’s rare to find a restaurant that strikes such a perfect balance between high-quality cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere, but Kirane’s manages to do just that.
Overall, Kirane’s in Porte-Maillot is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine with a refined twist. Whether you’re a fan of Indian flavors or just looking for a memorable dining experience in Paris, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu...
Read moreThis was our 4th day in paris and first time we are visiting from England. overall experience with french people and culture have been great until today. we are staying at hyatt regency and being an asian we have been craving good curry where we found this place kirane’s within walking distance. my husband ordered one dish while i was on my way to restaurant. my husband then thought since I arrived at the restaurant we would just sit in and order more food rather take away. then the actual drama started. the owner/manager lady started to behave rude saying I already packed food, you guys go outside and eat. she was even mentioning look my french customers are looking don’t open your packed food here. I mean we are not eating out first time in our life that we don’t understand basic etiquette. where as we told her we would be ordering more food as we are siitng in. she simply started overacting and getting upset. she finally then wanted to serve up the food but I decided not to eat at her place and while leaving I mentioned to her its because of her rude behave. surprisingly and even more shocking statement came from her saying “if out of 1000 customer 1 is unhappy I can’t do anything about it”! now I wonder were there 1000 customer from day one or 1 customer cumulatively made 1000 customer? honeslty very pissed off with her behave. travelled so many countries but never experienced anything such. the matter of fact she thought we are from india whether as we are from England , and then she started saying come on this is not india and this and that. honestly how this woman is even in...
