The place itself was beautiful. It is part of a hotel, so the inside of the restaurant has a large bar. The atmosphere is very relaxing, but I’m not sure dull lighting is the correct choice as it is increasingly difficult to read the menu for anyone who doesn’t have perfect eyesight. While the website itself did offer an English menu, we were not offered that choices in the restaurant so we had to translate everything. Thankfully they do have Wi-fi. The place also has stunning ceilings. The service was attentive, our coats were taken to the cloakroom, and the waiter was quick about taking our order. We were seated at a low table on low chairs, which was clearly designed just to have drinks, so it was uncomfortable for food. I had to bend down with every bite. We ordered Filet de Bar Gratiné, which was excellent although the portion was very small, and Curry Rouge de Crevettes, which was also good. They brought only a little amount of rice with the curry, which was not enough to finish the curry itself (upsetting as the curry was good). The curry was supposed to contain shrimps, and it did, but only 4. I think at least 5 would be better. The wine, red and white, was good. We enjoyed drinking it. Because the food was good, we decided to grab dessert. The dessert was not as good as the main course. Profiteroles with ice cream were hollow on the inside, but the ice cream was tasty. The French toast with salted caramel ice cream was delicious. Overall the experience is definitely a 4.5/5. I think increasing the amount of rice in the curry, shrimps, and maybe filling the profiteroles with something so they don’t just taste like plain bread would add the missing 0.5. Would recommend!

Walked into the hotel, dim lit dining area and a bunch of low height tables in more of a bar setting. Host staff was nice and took coats. Waiters were also attentive and available when called over. It did feel like we had many eyes on us while dining but I digress. The only good food we got was the Fois Gras Pate and bread. Very delicious. Every other item and drink had issues. The drinks tasted fine, but smelled off when sipping. The steak was asked to be medium well, but ended up blue almost raw. The pork was chewy and the potatoes left the mouth feeling dry. The foie gras ravioli was slimy and bland. The hazelnut crusted bass was just a weird combo but was ok. The shrimp curry had 4 pieces of shrimp and very soggy wet rice that dissolved in the mouth. The management ended up removing the shrimp from the check and attempted to remake the rice, but overall was a very disappointing meal for the price.

This meal did not meet expectations. When we arrived (7pm on a Sunday), the restaurant was almost empty, which is typically a bad sign. We ordered the €120 rib roast medium-rare, and it was served quite rare. They did take it back to cook it more, but pan frying an already-sliced roast ruins its integrity. It tasted OK, but for that price I expected a perfectly cooked meal. The pepper sauce on the steak filet we also ordered was not good; my MIL scraped it off. It was sharply peppery with no balance of flavor. This one was ordered medium and was overcooked. We also ordered the fish, which was actually good. Our server was fantastic but could not make up for mediocre food. This felt like a tourist trap to be avoided — we had much better meals in restaurants...
