L'Annexe — Restaurant in Paris

I will admit that I had low expectations for this spot since it's located right across the street from Sainte Chapelle. I figured it would be a tourist trap but the food was actually pretty good. We stopped in on a Sunday at 2 when we needed a quick lunch since we had tickets for the church right after. We were in an out in about half hour, which would usually raise red flags but again, we were in a time crunch and we were hungry, so this was the best option.

I had the French onion soup, which was pretty good but it was a bit too salty. Hubby had the sausage and aligot and we both loved it. The aligot was perfectly cheesy and piping hot.

I received a salad with a substance that highly resembled a piece of newspaper, and when I complained they told me that must be some dirt floating in the wind. (WHAT??) The receipt showed a list of drinks I did not order, and I only found that out a couple of days later.(I have a photo of the receipt, the picture of the food and drinks I received, and a picture of the menu that proves what I ordered did not match the receipt. Mmmm I loved this place! My trip through France consisted of a lot of food sampling. We tried everything we could to complete our French experience. This was one of the best meals we had! Not to say we didn’t have awesome food elsewhere.. we definitely did.. but that ham sandwich, with a grilled cheese top and egg sunny side up was amazing! Simple and delicious.
