We had a couple of hours before our train to Bordeaux so decided to have lunch near the station. Friendly staff weren’t too snotty towards the English speaking tourists, showed us the English menu (QR code to Google translate) and was very attentive. Food was ok, nothing special but more than acceptable for a quick lunch before a train trip. Tare tare was too big probably best to share it unless you really feel like a lot of raw beef… condiments for the tare tare and steak didn’t appear and had to ask for them. Onion soup was mediocre, a bit like warm as well. Overall not too bad.

Grande baroudeuse parisienne, j'aime me balader du côté de Montparnasse, Saint-michel, Chatelet ou Saint-germain. Avant un arrêt dans un bar, je regarde toujours les critiques, compte tenu des avis mitigés sur la brasserie, j'ai décidé de tenter le coup : Messieurs, quand on vous dit qu'il faut suivre l'intuition d'une femme, ne prenez pas ce conseil à la légère !! L'accueil y est chaleureux, à peine ma main sur la poignée pour y entrer, qu'on me souriait à l'entrée (eh oui même avec le masque, un vrai sourire se voit), on m'a installé avec vue face de la gare, ce qui m'a inspiré une photo pour vous donner une idée de la proximité pratique du bar de la gare. J'ai pris un virgin mojito (très bien dosé) et même avec cette consommation qui aurait pu paraître moins rentable, l'équipe était très attentionnée, on m'a servi des cacahuètes, ils sont vraiment adorables ! Je me suis aussi laissée tenter par une crêpe qu'on a partagé avec mon beau fils, je vous les conseille : elles sont succulentes d'où le grand sourire qu'il arpente sur la photo publiée. Si vous faîtes un tour vers montparnasse, je vous recommande vraiment ce bar, vous y passerez un super moment, surtout avec les grèves qui s'annoncent, vous retrouverez un peu de douceur soit avec l'amabilité de l'équipe soit avec les crêpes ! A mon prochain passage, j'y retournerais pour y manger, les clients à côté de moi avaient des plats bien copieux et avaient l'air très satisfait de leur plat : j'ai hâte !

Franchement j'avais juste faim et j'avais envie de manger une entrecôte avant de prendre le train plutôt qu'un fast food je n'avais qu'une heure ce que jai précisé au serveur avant de m'asseoir un samedi soir et sans exagérer le service était le plus rapide que jai jamais vu en 5 minutes j'ai eu mon plat et ma boisson, j'ai eu le temps de prendre des profiteroles et un thé au jasmin qui ne m'ont vraiment pas déçu. L'entrecôte était parfaite sans être révolutionnaire, les frites étaient très très bonnesa mon goût, la glace des profiteroles comme je l'aime avec un vrai goût vanille, le chou était moelleux et pas congelé comme dans beaucoup de restaurants et le chocolat n'était pas mal. Enfin bref je pense que compte tenu des plats copieux, servi si rapidement par des serveurs très sympa et de sa position aussi, le prix est convenable et je recommande. À moins de 2 minutes des quais on ne peut pas utiliser le service du restaurant comme excuse pour un éventuel retard ça c'est clair.

Place looked nice, so I went in to try their Blue Cheese Burger but received no service while some of the staff just stared at me. Eventually a waiter (a old grey haired chubby looking man who was not that welcoming) attended to me in a rush and he ended up serving the wrong burger. He refused to own up to his mistake. Instead another waiter (a younger chap) decided to cover up for his college and makes up a lie that there was no Blue Cheese. Really pathetic excuse as a couple that was sitting near me ordered the exact same Blue Cheese burger after my order was served and they got what they ordered. The waiter (the old, grey haired chubby looking guy) even started pretending that he could not understand English after getting my order wrong. How pathetic and unprofessional.
