The lunch definitely wasn’t worth the money.
We went to a restaurant to try the famous dishes of French cuisine. Kir turned out to be a tasty cocktail. But unfortunately, one glass tipped over onto my pants. This didn’t cause any help or sympathy from the waiters—though maybe they simply didn’t notice.
The onion soup looked more watery than we expected. The cheese was floating in the middle. I’m not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be. There was no beautiful cheese crust on top. I found it edible; my wife didn’t like it much.
After the onion soup, I put the napkins on the plate so they could be taken away (remember the spilled drink), but when the waiter took the plate, he put the napkins back on my table. I don’t know—maybe it’s a French tradition not to take napkins? But what was I supposed to do with them? It was unpleasant to sit there with wet napkins on the table. I didn’t say or change anything; I was even curious to see what would happen next.
Next came the main course—steak and aligot. The steak was large, but the meat was of poor quality. I asked for medium, but one half was too thin and became well-done, while the other half was too thick and stayed rare. Somewhere in between there was medium. Lots of sinew, almost impossible to chew. Lacking in flavor, so I used the salt and pepper on the table. No sauce of any kind. I’m used to finishing my food, but I regretted it for the next two hours. The aligot was fine, but it didn’t save the situation.
And the kids’ meal—sausage and potatoes. The potatoes seemed to be from yesterday and over-fried. Not tasty. The sausage was awful. My son, picky as he already is, went home hungry.
The waiters were...
Read moreI had an absolutely appalling experience at this restaurant. I went there with my sister and her friend, and from start to finish, the service was shockingly unprofessional and downright hostile.
First, they delivered the wrong order to our table. When we pointed this out, instead of apologizing and fixing the mistake, the server insisted we were wrong and that they had delivered the correct food. This is not how customer service works. To make matters worse, when we asked to speak to the manager, things escalated from bad to horrifying.
The manager was incredibly rude and dismissive. Not only did they refuse to acknowledge the mistake, but they also insisted on leaving the incorrect food on our table despite us repeatedly asking them to take it away. And then came the most bizarre and terrifying part: the manager demanded that we stay at the restaurant and eat the food we did not order. They even refused to bring us the check to prevent us from leaving, essentially holding us hostage in the restaurant.
This entire ordeal was not only unprofessional but also intimidating. The two young women with me were visibly scared by the aggressive behavior of the manager. No one should feel unsafe or pressured while dining out.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid this place like the plague. There are plenty of restaurants that know how to treat their customers with respect—this is not one of them. Zero stars if I...
