Gave this place a try based on the traditional French restaurant look from outside. Struggled to get the attention of the wait staff once inside. The food, while served quickly, was cafeteria-grade. My partner chose the snails as a starter - the restaurant neglected to serve these with a snail fork, without which these cannot be eaten. When prompted for a snail fork, the waiter returned with a toothpick. My foie gras, while cheap yet edible, was served with a slice of supermarket toast. As for mains, my beef bourguignon was bland and had the texture of bandaids smeared with vaseline. My partner's duck confit had the taste and consistency of cork. We chose to pay the bill and leave after a couple bites of our main dishes, leaving behind the dessert course altogether. The food had all the splendor and Parisian magic of a microwave dinner (some of which I have had, in fact, have been better).
Our experience here nearly ruined what had thus far been a magical evening in Paris. The experience was disappointing as the food was so lacking in flavour and quality. The dishes we ordered are not difficult to prepare, and it is inexcusable that these were sent out in such poor condition. What would have been a perfect day out was tainted by the low calibre of this restaurant. Were it not for tourists walking into this restaurant hoping for authentic French cuisine, I have doubts that this venue would still be...
Read moreWe ordered gratinated onion soup, rabbit in mustard sauce, mussels, turbot and apple pie. The only edible food was the soup and to some extent mussels (though you could taste they were not the freshest ones in the sea). Rabbit meat which should be tender was tough and dry and covered in so much mustard sauce that you could hardly taste the meat itself. But the worst was yet to come - it was the fish which simply smelled and was the most horrible culinary experience we have ever witnessed. We asked for a replacement, and to our surprise, waiter wasn't ever surprised. He just took the fish and allowed us to take something as a replacement. We ordered medium rare beef, which was server exactly 3 minutes after placing the order. Usually we appreciate fast delivery, but it takes longer to arrange the food on the platter. Not to mention cooking it properly. We became suspicious and we were sadly right, because the meat was probably cooked in the microwave. It was dry and of poor quality. We wanted to talk to the waiter about it, but he wasn't interested in hearing us out. Instead he started avoiding us altogether. When we asked for a check we were charged with a full price and only after our complaint to the manager did they remove the non-eaten food from the check. Not to mention we never received our apple pie. Burger-joint would be better than this hell-hole. Avoid...
Read more한국인들 절대 가지마세요!! 인종 차별 해요 I'm a tourist from Canada and I regret coming to this restaurant. My friends and I look Asian, but we're actually Canadians. I dont know why the server decided to ignore us the entire time, but he was rude from beginning to end. Whenever I made eye contact, he would ignore me and serve other tables first. He literally threw the menu in anger when we asked if our desert was on the way. Also, our table was the only table in the restaurant without complimentary bread. At first we were nice to this server saying "thank you" and smiling like any good mannered Canadians would do, but the way he acted towards us was just so bad that I wanted to leave the restaurant asap. Never have I experienced this from where I came from. It ruined our whole day. When we asked for extra ice, he ignored our request. We had to ask another waitress who passed it on to him. He would also plop our food/ drinks on the table too. Worst RACIST service ever. The other waiters were nice. It was this one middle aged man. The funny thing is he was smiling and being nice to others, but just being rude to us- the only Asian looking customers in the restaurant. I don't know if he's the manager or the owner, but you should know how to treat your...
