I had my birthday lunch here and went with the lunch menu. The experience was calm, thoughtful, and the food showed real attention to detail.

The starter was a salad of sweet peas and salsify, with a light gorgonzola cream, wild garlic, and smoked herring roe. It struck a nice balance. Fresh, creamy, and just a touch smoky. Not something I would have expected to enjoy so much, but it worked beautifully.

The main was slices of duck breast, served with variations of aubergine infused with ginger, some pleasantly acidic leeks, and a bigarade sauce. The duck was tender and flavorful, and the ginger in the aubergine added a subtle warmth that tied everything together without overpowering the dish.

Dessert was a clafoutis with cherries and strawberries, served with thyme flower ice cream. Simple, seasonal, and satisfying. The thyme brought an unexpected but welcome twist to the finish.

The setting, tucked inside BHV Marais, feels hidden in plain sight. The service was attentive and warm without being stiff.

The only downside was the seating. The suede cushions and pillows felt a bit dusty, and when I unfolded the napkin, tiny white particles floated into the air, which gave a slightly neglected impression in an otherwise refined space.

Still, the meal itself more than made up for it. Creative but grounded, elegant without being showy. I...

Wish I could write a review BUT I was not able to try this Restaurant that I really wanted to try. It’s 19.26 and the restaurant is not particularly full. I see a comfy table in the corner with a sofa, ideal for a dinner waiting for my plane to Milano in 2 hours. I ask at the entrance IF I can take the sofa table in the corner and the waitress with a smile tells me, “please do”. As I am getting close to the table, a gentlemen who in my opinion is the Restaurant manager since he is dresses differently, kind of rudely tells me that “that is the table for 4”. I respond that the gentlemen at the table beside me is alone, “do you have perhaps double standards?” ironically?

Without looking at me he starts ranting something in French indicating me a small table with wooden chairs in the middle of the restaurant, places the napkin and cutlery in the middle if the table and the menu while babbling and not looking at me once. I kindly decline and leave. The waitress smiled at me wondering probably why I am leaving. Conclusion : I wish the waitress to become in a very short time the restaurant Manager. I wish the Restaurant Manager a job that in more in line with his attitude: there is no room in hospitality for rude and unprofessional people.

I will for sure try again next time: I am sure that the food is amazing

Overrated Michelin. €60 for 3-course and glass of wine. The location is at 5/F where not easily found and confused with the food court nearby. The reception was busy so it took sometime to arrange my table. After I ordered, it took 10 minutes for the amuse buse. And another 10 minutes for the starter. Then another 40 minutes for the main dish. In between I finished my water glass and the server never come by to fill it up. And during the waiting, there were a family started the same 3-course but they can have their dishes one after another. I reckoned the kitchen missed my second course.
