Let me start by saying that I found THE BEST PAD THAI in Paris!!!!!
My friends and I, we’ve been craving some Thai food and decided to try Le 8 Clos. We discovered that they are not simply a Thai restaurant but influenced by the French Cuisine. We were 3 parties, we went all out by trying a lot of foods on their menu and they didn’t disappoint, EVERYTHING was excellent and lived up to our expectations!
For the starters: we had the Carpaccio de Daurade, it was soft and extra fresh!
We also tried the Chèvre chaud served with their salad (Super salad dressing btw!!) I normally don’t really eat chèvre cheese, but it was perfectly fried and the smell wasn’t too strong, the touch of citrus from the orange and some crunch from the almonds really balanced the dish.
As for their Nems de Langoustines, it is not the ordinary nems that you find elsewhere, it was simple but the quality of the ingredients is indeed top notch! You know it from the very first bite!
Lastly, before moving on to the main dishes, we easily emptied a tray of their “fat” oysters and shrimps! it was accompanied with 2 types of Thai style hot sauces, that you can rarely find in Paris (made us so happy that we had it that night)
Moving on, the excitements were still going strong as we’re going to explore more dishes, I have tried many Pad Thai in Paris, but Le 8 Clos Pad Thai is now my Favorite! The smokiness was there and most importantly every strings of the noodle (that I heard they got it directly from Thailand) were well coated with the sauce and were not sticky at all! (Prove that the chef has a high wok skills) the chicken (the topping) were so generous, so tender and just like the noodles, every pieces were very well seasoned!
We also got their Squid curry, the curry has a thick flavour, which I like as for me it means authentic taste.
After all of this, we still managed to make some place for desserts, There are a lot of options, but of course we had to try their mango sticky rice! It was very prettily presented and slightly savoury and not too sweet, a very lovely mix.
We also got the Profiteroles, the choux unlike the normal ones were crunchier, but it got softer with the ice cream and the special chocolate sauce, We also had the tourte aux pommes (the pastry was delicious)!
We came home feeling so satisfied and we can’t wait to come back to have some more! highly recommend!!! Also, Thank you to Le 8 Clos team for their warm welcome...

I recently dined at Le 8 Clos, and it was nothing short of a culinary adventure! The fusion of traditional Thai flavors with modern techniques was simply extraordinary. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, setting the tone for a unique dining experience.
Service was impeccable, with staff that were attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring each dish was explained with detail. Every course felt like a new discovery, and I left completely satisfied but already excited to return and try more.
Story Time - A fun little adventure unfolded when I spent the day exploring Paris with my mother. After wandering the city and surviving on nothing but French fries, by 9 PM, we were absolutely famished. I suggested a restaurant, but my mother—ever the skeptic—was hesitant. “It only has three reviews!” she said. Then, in true dramatic fashion, she added, “If the food isn’t good, I’m going to kill you.”
I quietly braced myself for my untimely demise as we walked through the doors. As it turns out, the restaurant had only been open for a week, which explained the few reviews. It had recently been converted from an Italian spot to Thai, and while I breathed a small sigh of relief, my fingers were still crossed that I’d live to tell the tale.
Thankfully, after just one bite, my fate was sealed—in a good way. My mother, who had threatened my life moments earlier, fell silent as she devoured her meal. When she finally spoke again, it was to say, “Thank God you’re not dying tonight, the food was delicious.”
So, all’s well that ends well! My life was spared, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at Le 8 Clos. Many thanks to the chef and staff—looking forward to coming back (and...
Read moreThis is not your typical Thai resto. I went here last week with my g-f for her b-day and both of us were incredibly pleased with this place.
The quality of the meat and fish is top, and the tastes/spices are very flavourful - complementary and not overpowering. We shared our plates - Entrées: carpaccio de dourade (good portion size and very fresh) Thai salade de bouef (spicy but not too much, - could still taste flavours of the meat and it was cooked properly) Plats: pad thai crevette (this was really good. The noodles were excellent firm and chewy (not some clump of gluey mush with all the noodles stuck together), and the shrimp were tasty and not over-cooked dos de cabillaud (light and flavourful - very subtle, fresh and a good portion) Dessert: Mango + sticky rice & coconut cream (mango was fresh and ripe - very tasty)
Portion sizes were good and at the end we were very full and satisfied.
We went with the waiter’s suggestion and had a bottle of Pouilly-Fumé which was fine by me as it was in the middle of the price range on the wine list, - and it went well with our menu choices.
The waiter was attentive, but not intrusive or overbearing. Afterwards the chef came around to our table and spent a few moments asking about our meal, - what we liked and thought of the different dishes. He noted some of the ingredients in the dishes, and mentioned he sourced some directly from Thailand. A very pleasant man.
I'll definitely come back here with my...
