Lovely restaurant with great interior - toilets are absolutely disgusting though and could do with a deep clean. Had a table for 8 booked for 6:15 and when we showed up it wasn’t ready yet as if they weren’t expecting us. Waited around for 5 minutes till we could get seated but as you can imagine as other bookings came in it was quite crowded. Food was very nice and most of us enjoyed it. The onion soup was divine and a must try! One out of three of the steaks that came had more fat than meat on it (wish I took a photo to show how bad it was) we told the server when she collected the plates and she said she would show the chef. Chef apparently said that’s how it can come in and it’s a lottery if you have a good or a bad steak (again 2 of them were good) but if you’re paying 30 euros for a steak you would expect to not have more fat than steak on it. Server offered free fries after everyone had ate but why would one person want more food if no one else was eating? Asked for the manager who said we should have said before we had finished our meal. The sever did ask how our meal was but we all got served food at different times (my burger and the bad steak came slightly later than everyone else at the tables) so we wouldn’t know if the meal was good or not as we had just started. Service wasn’t the best overall and it was a bit slow and lack lustre. Even when the server took our orders at the start she tried to memorise 8 starters and 8 mains of the top of her head and then had to come back with a laptop/notepad so was a bit painful to order twice. When we asked for the bill we were giving the wrong bill at first too before we pointed out and it was rectified. Felt sorry for the server at the end as I think she had been crying and it wasn’t her fault it was a bad steak.
Discounting the steak off the bill would have given it another star but unfortunately the way everything was handled it left a bad taste in our mouths. The other star that was lost was due to the men’s toilets I didn’t want to touch any handles due to it being...

That is not accurate. I frequently order this dish and have done so many times. I also often cook it myself.
The dish was €79 to share between two people, and you served around three small, thin slices of meat. The rest was 80-100% fat—not fatty meat, but simply fat. This indicates poor meat quality.
Your refusal to acknowledge this only adds to my disappointment.
We recently dined at Le Choupinet and had a very disappointing experience.
We ordered the côte de boeuf to share for 76 euros, expecting a delicious meal. Unfortunately, what we received was far from satisfactory.
We had requested the meat to be cooked medium, but it arrived almost rare.
The dish was presented in a pan, where 90% of the content was fat. When we complained about the meat, they took it back to cook it more.
Even after this, we were still dissatisfied as it seemed more like "côte de fat" than côte de boeuf.
The manager came over and removed some of the fatty pieces, leaving us with just 4-5 small slices of meat that were still quite fatty.
She tried to explain that côte de boeuf has some fat, which I understand, but this was excessive.
We also ordered a caipirinha, which was okay, and a beer that was just average.
Our kids had hamburgers, which were fine, but it took almost an hour for any food to be served.
Overall, this was the worst meat I've ever had at a restaurant - well anywhere.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend...
Read moreLe Choupinet, a quaint restaurant nestled in a bustling Parisian neighborhood, offers a charming ambiance and a menu filled with culinary delights. The cozy interior, adorned with vintage decor and warm lighting, immediately welcomes diners into a space that promises an intimate dining experience. The food itself is a testament to French cuisine, but probably not the best price for the quality.
However, the overall experience at Le Choupinet falls short due to disappointing service from management. Despite the potential for delightful hospitality, management appeared more focused on maximizing profits than ensuring guest satisfaction, a stance that became glaringly apparent during busy hours as multiple guesses refused a bit of seating flexibility. Maybe the teddy bears have priority seating, though one would question the hygiene quality of these fury table communal companions.
Requests for assistance or modifications seating arrangements were met with resistance or indifference, leaving patrons feeling undervalued. This enforcement of a profit-over-people approach detracts significantly from the restaurant's otherwise what coulp be a delightful atmosphere.
In conclusion, while Le Choupinet has much to offer in terms of atmosphere and cuisine, the discouraging service from management warrants a three-star rating. A shift towards prioritizing guest experience over monetary gains could elevate this establishment to its full potential, making it a truly standout...
