Most positive: they have online only menus now 👌 (we are in the midst of a global pandemic) Much appreciated! And our waiter was very pleasant! Ideal location.
Disclaimer** This may be biased as we are from the US and I accidentally ordered a meal I thought was something different.
We stopped here on the way to walk through the garden on a Saturday afternoon.
Spaced seating and plenty of it.
We ordered some coffees and my husband had the curry chicken without rice and I thought (as I am learning French) I ordered a regular salad with Salmon, an egg and some shrimp & avocado.
But I actually ordered a shrimp salad with salmon eggs 😂
I was thinking of sending it back but, no I wanted to try something new!
The food was ok - the curry chicken was good but I might be biased in that we are from the US and are accustomed to way more heat in our curries.
My surprise shrimp salad was actually pretty good. Different - I préfère larger shrimp then thé crevettes - I wouldn’t order it again. It wasn’t too bad though.
The baguette they served was not good :( It was fine but, our favorite thing about living in France is the bread - nothing like it in the US. Sadly, the baguette. Served with the meal was just typical what you’d expect in the states actually.
Would I go back? Maybe because the location is so ideal and it really was a great spot to people watch. I’d probably get some coffee - maybe an...
Read moreMy son ordered the beef medium and it came to us rare. My son tried to eat and it was making him sick. The meat was bleeding when I pressed on it. I traded my lamb with my son and took a piece to try and I can taste the blood. I complained to the waitress who told us there was nothing she can do and we had to pay for food we didn’t eat. The beef was gross, the staff and management are not customer service oriented. Our son and I still feel sick, avoid this place!
*Editing my review to respond to the owner. For one, your server didn’t come back twice to cook it more, you are incorrect. Your server didn’t check on us at all and because we were hungry, I shared my food with my son and we only ate the potatoes and sides that came with the meat. When the server stopped by we did complain about the meat. We told her the we couldn’t eat it and that it was making us sick. She came back once with the meat wrapped tin foil, with the time she took, there is no way it was cooked more. We did not eat more than 1/8 of the meat because it was disgusting. What you see in the picture is what was brought out to us, we didn’t eat 3/4 as you mentioned, we would have ended up in the hospital!
I find it concerning that you would come out to attack us vs accepting responsibility and apologizing. It furthers my review about your customer service. I also took a video and will be sharing my experience on other social...
Read moreWhy too many parisian brasseries don‘t deserve your patronage anymore...
Only went for coffee, great location in front of the Luxembourg park. Very polite (but not friendly/smiling) staff. Efficient at first, but then more than 15 minutes to simply pay the bill: no cards, no contactless payments for small amounts after a global pandemic... you gotta wait for the waiter who forgot to bring you the change, and he got the change wrong (in my favor to be fair, which I mentionned). My friendly mention that I missed a train because of their delay (organizational and technical limitations) didn’t even attract a generic “sorry”, my remark was politely ignored and I was wished a good day.
Espresso was blend and diluted, even for Paris.
Emotionless, inefficient, polite but unfriendly. One of those many brasseries which I hope will make a change for the better soon...the smile (or the absence thereof) can still be seen...
