Le Coucou Troca — Restaurant in Paris

After a long day filled with navigating our way through the streets of Paris, my family and I were ready for dinner. Thankfully, we stumbled across Le Coucou Troca and were ready to dig in for a light bite before we called it a day. However, we were in for more than just a light bite. The second we sat down, it became clear that Le Coucou Troca was not your average Parisian café. The setting was cozy yet elegant, with warm lighting that gave the space a golden hue, and the soft murmur of conversation in the background added to the charm. But what truly elevated our dining experience was our incredible waitress, Astrid. From the moment she approached our table, she radiated warmth and hospitality. She explained the menu in such an elegant and glorious manner, that it made me want to get everything! There was one item in particular that lived up to all the hype. The French onion soup arrived in a cream colored bowl with its golden, bubbling, cheese cascading over the edges. The rich, caramelized onions in the broth had a depth of flavor that could only come from hours of slow cooking. Le Coucou Troca is the most perfect restaurant that we found in Paris. Located on Avenue Kléber, it’s ideally situated between Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. We stayed in Paris for 3 days, and went to Le Coucou three times during our stay. The place is relatively new, and has only been open for a little under a month. The menu has a vast array of options, and everything is freshly made & brought to your table by the friendly staff. A big ‘shout out’ to Ingrid, Soraya and Claudio who served us on the respective occasions for their attentiveness and kindness! Amongst other things we tried the delicious breakfast, various pizzas, salads, steak and burgers. Everything is prepared with care and served with a smile. Énorme déception…nous sommes arrivés et avons été bien accueillis. Environ 10 min après notre installation on vient prendre notre commande…1er souci nous n’avons toujours pas la carte que l’on nous avait dit nous apporter de suite. Commande prise par un deuxième serveur qui revient quelques minutes plus tard car il a oublié le nom d’un des vins commandé. Les pâtes de notre fille sont servis ainsi que nos 2 verres de vins. 10 min après le service de l’assiette de notre fille, nous demandons où en est notre assiette de jambon à la serveuse qui nous à accueilli: « je m’en occupe ça arrive tout de suite »,10 min plus tard toujours rien. Nous interpellons le serveur qui a pris notre commande et il nous dit que c’est sa faute il a oublié de la commander mais nous promets que ça arrive de suite également mais 10 min plus tard toujours rien. Notre fille ayant terminé son repas nous annulons la planche qui comme par magie apparaît.

Nous demandons l’addition et aucuns gestes commercials pour les multiples loupés, mon conjoint a du batailler pour ne pas régler le verre de vin non consommé qui était destiné à être bu avec la planche.
