Le Laffitte — Restaurant in Paris

We visited Le Laffitte in October 2025 and it was excellent. It was a great place to have a beer or wine and the food was fantastic. We had a sausage with fries, a terrine, steak tartare. Everything was delicious and the staff was amazing. After lunch we walked around Paris and stopped by Le Laffite later in the day for a beer and small bites. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and felt very Parisian. Before we left back to the US, we went to Le Lafitte one more time and ordered scallops with risotto from the Menu du Jour. Very attentive and prompt service. The rumsteak with cheese cream and french fries was delicious, I enjoyed it A LOT! The girl serving told me I was lucky because they usually have so many customers that they don't do meals at dinner: in fact she was surprised when I said I wanted to eat, but didn't tell me "it's not possible", something I highly appreciated. The only regret is that they will close for three days for the New Year and I won't be able to come back, because I'd love to......

Imaginez le plan : vous rencontrez une amie pour discuter d'un sujet sensible dans un bar que vous trouvez sympa, apriori. Vous prenez une bière et un chocolat chaud. Au bout d'une heure, le barman s'approche timidement de vous pour vous demander si vous allez prendre autre chose. Vous le remerciez poliment en lui disant que non que nous allons bientôt partir. Le serveur dit avec hésitation, comme si le patron le lui avait demandé, qu'il faut consommer, qu'on ne peut pas rester dans un bar sans consommer.... Vous pouvez imaginer mon visage.. Un bar avec plus de la moitié des tables vides et qu'ils se sont empressés de débarrasser et nettoyer la table, sur laquelle se trouvaient encore nos téléphones, sacs etc.. Quel manque de délicatesse et d'attention au public. Enfin, dommage un bar où je ne retournerai jamais et bien sûr, je ne le recommanderai pas à mes amis ni mes collègues de travail (on bosse...
