This is far more than a simple restaurant review; it is an homage to a piece of my homeland Algeria.

Every bite at Majouja is an emotional journey back to my roots, to an identity that is inseparable from the flavors of Algerian cuisine.

From the moment you walk through the door, you feel the warm and unpretentious atmosphere. The genuine kindness of the entire staff is immediately comforting and instantly reminds me of the generosity and hospitality I associate with Algerian family meals. You feel welcome and safe right away.

But the true experience begins with the food:

The Soup (Chorba) is a balm for the soul – every spoonful brings me closer to my family’s story. It is the perfect and soothing beginning to this culinary journey.

The Brik was simply perfect: crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. It tastes like childhood and familiar hands.

Majouja doesn’t just serve food – it serves memories. Memories of my mother’s kitchen, my father’s stories, and the feeling of truly being at home. It is a culinary anchor in Paris, a place that nourishes and celebrates my Algerian identity.

For anyone seeking Algerian cuisine to fill their palate or their heart: Majouja is a must. It is honest, it is delicious, and to me, it is a place of immeasurable value.

Thank you to the staff for the warm welcome, and to the kitchen for preserving such an essential...

Majouja is a little gem tucked away in the middle of Paris. Being there reminded me of being home with my mum and my grandmother. I travelled with two of my friends from London specially to visit the place after watching a clip on Instagram. Tell you what, I wasn’t disappointed, the food was fantastic, just like home, cooked with love and served with a smile, we were greeted with warmth from everyone at Majouja from Massi from behind the counter, Katia and especially Nora the star of the place. Fantastic work you are doing, keep up the good work and we will spread the words for you. You make us proud. Enjoyed ourselves and most importantly we enjoyed every bite of our food. We will definitely go back again...

Excellent food. The chef herself comes to your table and asks how you felt about it as in Michelin restaurants. I tasted the food in Kabylie and the tikervavin served every Saturday is a delight. Good atmosphere and everyone tried their best but I am a bit worried about the service team being understaffed (not enough people for the number of clients) today hopefully it’s not everyday like this. I don’t regret coming from afar and would come back to eat again Tikervavin and other meals on the menu Nora is as...
