Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived and asked for help understanding the menu, the waiter was far from helpful. I understand it could have been the end of the day, but that’s no excuse for such behavior. We ordered the vegan bowl and immediately regretted it, wanting to change our order. The waiter quickly claimed the dish was ready (how could it be so fast?) and served it to us without any flexibility or willingness to assist. He also demanded immediate payment and rudely walked away. To make matters worse, the waiter told us the vegan bowl had couscous, but it was nothing like couscous. It was actually some sweet grains with a very strange, unpleasant pineapple flavor – absolutely terrible. I tried to approach him again in a polite manner to talk, but he just ignored me and continued walking. When we reluctantly tried the dish, it was awful – bland, colorless, and completely inedible. We then spoke to the manager, but the waiter rushed over to say something I couldn’t understand. The manager didn’t try to listen either and instead threatened to call the police. As tourists, this was extremely unpleasant and disappointing, especially since I approached the situation respectfully and simply sought help. Until this point, all our dining experiences in Paris had been fantastic, but this place was a disaster on every level. The service was terrible, the food was inedible, and the staff’s behavior was downright offensive. The only redeeming factor was the atmosphere, but nothing else justified even one star. If I could give zero stars, I gladly would. Bottom line, we were left without a solution and still hungry. The service was absolutely terrible, and I hope this review helps someone who is thinking whether to visit this place or at least spares them from the frustration that my partner and I experienced.

What a wonderful environment & staff. Celebrated my birthday the best way with the most warming people. Thank you for a wonderful time Cheers to Robin for being a great host !

We had a wonderful brunch at Quartier Général in Paris. The food was excellent and offered great value for money. The portions were generous, leaving us full but not overly heavy. The crêpes were the absolute favorite of my children, who called them the “lion kings” of the meal. The omelettes were nicely prepared, though not entirely perfect. The brioche topped with caramel sauce was incredible, and the croissant, served warm, was indulgently rich. The ham, cheese, and tomato dish was also excellent. The restaurant was busy, which is expected on a weekend, but the service was still friendly and attentive. One of the waiters seemed a bit stressed, but he remained polite and gentle throughout. The atmosphere felt more like an international café than a typical Parisian spot, possibly because of the pop-art decor and colorful paintings. The only downside was the bathroom situation—there was just one toilet and sink, which made it very busy. Overall, Quartier Général is a great place for a casual brunch with delicious food, warm service, and excellent value. While it may not feel traditionally Parisian, it’s a spot I’d happily recommend!

I have to admit, I enjoy snails more back home in Slovakia. They weren’t bad here, but they didn’t blow me away either. I thought that in Paris, no matter where I tried a snail, it would be like heaven in my mouth. It’s one of my favorite dishes and I order it everywhere it’s served. Of course, we also have some weaker places in Slovakia when it comes to their preparation—so don’t think that anywhere you try them at home, you’ll be thrilled. Absolutely not :) But the snails in this place certainly won’t offend anyone. If this is how French snails are supposed to taste, I have no objections. I’ll try them in a few more places on this trip to compare.

On the other hand, the onion soup is something I absolutely recommend. Incredibly good—12 points out of 10. The duck was good too, about an 8 out of 10. In Slovakia, it’s a common dish I eat almost every week, so I’m used to excellent homemade cooking (my partner is an amazing cook). But just like the snails, you’ll definitely enjoy this duck.

What disappointed me a bit were the potatoes. The garlic was not very aromatic, the potatoes were more al dente than soft, and they weren’t salted—but luckily there was a salt shaker at hand.

All in all, we ate well. Although for me, the soup really saved the day. Definitely sit down here and...
