This is absolutely without a doubt the best place to stay when visiting Paris in France. I stayed here for about 5 days last year and it was amazing. Sure, the hotel only has 1 star, but if I were in charge it would get 6/5 stars. Roland, the manager of the luxurious motel, is by far one of the most nicest, understanding people I've ever met. Honestly, he's absolutely captivating and I could listen to him talk about the fiber optic cables for hours on end. He cared greatly about our safety and made it very clear not to use the scooters available. He also drove me to the Eiffel Tower after seeing me looking at my map confused. Driving around in his Telsa was epic.
Roland also gave me his NETFLIX password, which was perfect as I was able to relax on the 3* double bed with memory foam and massage settings and watch my favourite shows on the 4K Ultra HD 75” smart TV while I drunk the best can of coca cola I've ever consumed from the minibar refrigerator.
The bathroom was extremely spacious and the best part was the stainless towels which were extremely soft and looked to be in mint condition. I felt comfortable in the shower and safe too, due to the emergency cord available from the roof in case of an emergency. There was even a spa in the bathroom which had plenty of room for me to simply relax and watch more NETFLIX on the second TV contained in the bathroom.
Speaking of spas, the one contained on the roof was amazing and provided an amazing view of the Notre Dame as it crumbled to the floor in the flames while the sun set over Paris.
Furthermore, the elevator was one of the best I've ever ascended through, and was extremely helpful in getting my bags to my room. Imagine having to use a stair case! That would be HORRIBLE. The speed of the elevator was great too.
As I mentioned earlier, the bed was amazing. I used the massage functions of the bed for a whole hour before dozing off. When I awoke from my slumber, I pressed a button on the side of my wall and within 20 seconds Roland appeared at my door with 5 maids, each with a food trolley containing croissants, baguettes and many other pastries and yogurts. I felt like God himself.
Overall, an amazing experience and I cannot wait to come back and see...
Read moreMy family (myself, my husband, brother-in-law and two children both under 5), had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Marignan. We stayed for 7 nights in a Quintuple Room with private shower and toilet. The room was clean, warm and we had enough space even between the five of us. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and modern, and daily housekeeping was excellent. ||The hotel staff and hotel itself were very welcoming for children. The hotel was in contact about our check-in time and kindly had the room ready early. In the event that it wasn't ready they had also offered to keep our bags behind the counter and also provided an option to store any unneeded bags there during our stay. We were situated on the first floor and whilst this was no problem for us, something to note if you have mobility issues and a lot of luggage is that the hotel has no lift and the staircase quite steep. ||The hotel is very well located and the hotel staff provided a map and tips about great places to eat or shop. We found that even with two little ones, the location was so fantastic that we walked everywhere. There is an excellent food and wares market just a few minutes from the hotel - as well as a grocery store, coffee stop and excellent boulangeries. ||Some other things that we appreciated were:|- You could use the hotel dining room area to sit or to eat. This was very much appreciated and useful after a long day when needing to eat takeaway with kids. |- You could use the hotel kitchen in the afternoon and evening and borrow their plates, cutlery, glassware etc. to use. |- You could use the hotel laundry and dryer (noting this closes at 8:30pm) which was a bit of a lifesaver travelling with little ones and needing to wash clothes. ||Overall I found it a very comfortable, welcoming and well-located hotel. I do not hesitate to recommend it to others, particularly families. We will...
Read moreHi, I´d like to offer a realistic review of this hotel, based on our experience. We were a group of 24 students aged between 16-18; not 15, and 2 teachers. Well, when we arrived, we wanted to get into the hotel as quickly as possible, it was pouring raining and the receptionist left us outdoors while he shouted an explanation about the hotel´s rules, which by the way didn´t take from 3-6 minutes, it was about 10. He said that we were all under a canopy but 26 people obviously didn´t fit there and besides us, our suitcases got wet too. We had to go upstairs with our lugagge, the stairs were narrow and uncomfortable for doing that. One of my friends couldn´t go upstairs due to a medical problem and he made her go to the sixth floor, and even though she told him that that wasn´t her room, the only thing she received were shoutings. After that, we headed to our rooms. There wasn´t so much space in them, so it was pretty uncomfortable to fit in and most of them were supposed to be for 4 people. Minutes later, another friend of mine sent us a message, his room didn´t even have a proper ceiling. Another thing I´d like to mention is that we may not be bilingual, but some of us have degrees on this language such as B2, so I think that we knew how to speak it. As a personal experience, he told one of my teachers that he had misunderstood me because my English level was bad, when I have that degree. I´d like to highlight that he was the only one who treated us like that, the staff that I guess works for him was super nice with us, for example Cynthia, the woman who served breakfast. So thank you for your good service and for being so friendly. Some of my travel companions have already written a review, which just show the reality. So no, we wouldn´t recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks for your attention. P.S: I´ve written this without a translator, so excuse me if I have some...
