The Pho tai was decent. The noodles were properly cooked - bouncy. The broth was good, but not stellar. It did have the right spices, but lacked just a little depth. The owner/manager was exceptionally slow, inattentive and outright rude. There were only 2 custyin the shop and we sat nearly 10 minutes waiting for him to bother to come over to take our order. I was annoyed and he was rude and insulting, asking me in French what was my problem. Once I told him, he started slamming things in the shop. Shortly after, he came over and aggressively slammed the window shut and said $h1t in French. The neighbor restaurant had loud music but he was still expressing his anger at me. For Paris, the food is worth trying. In another city with competition, he would struggle even more. We walked by this restaurant half a dozen times over 3 days and it was usually empty or had 1 customer. If the owner cared about customer service, maybe he would have...
Read moreI am a Vietnamese, and I can make sure with you that this is not an authentic Vietnam restaurant, but a Chinese restaurant instead. I ordered one "Pho" and one "Bo Bun" (this one should be "Bun Thit Nuong" in Vietnamese not "Bo Bun" which has wrong meaning). Overall, the foods were good in quantity. The "Pho" had a totally strange taste which I couldn't believe it is a "Pho". If you come here to find a "Pho", look somewhere else or you will have a wrong thing you are looking for. I don't understand why they try to name their business as "Phô 5", the right word for "Pho" should be "Phở" not "Phô". This is another evidence to support that this restaurant is a Chinese restaurant try to be a Vietnamese restaurant as the first sight of their custumer. To be fair, I give three star for the quantity of their food, not...
Read moreThe place was cozy and tidy, the service was efficient, staff were hospitable. Upon your arrival and order, they quickly provided you with a bottle of water. To my surprise, the pho was sooo good! Yum to the soul. I chose F1 for the price or EUR10.80 that came with meat balls and raw beef as well as cooked beef. The broth was light but savory, the beef was tender, the thin and flat rice noodle was also soft. It was served in a big bowl with a separate plate of mung bean sprout and basils and a slice of fresh lemon. The sauce was also very good. I highly recommend this pho. Grilled pork was nice, not my very favourite as it was all meat without fat lol (there were garnishes of lettuce, cucumber, and...
