I have been debating heavily on whether or not to even make a review on my experience because besides service, you do want a review to be based on the food. I unfortunately did not make it pass water service. I had the unfortunate pleasure of experiencing a bit of discrimination from the staff (specifically the manager) pictured from the moment I walked into the building. So, starting from the beginning, I arrived around 750pm and waited in the line that was literally around the corner. I was excited to experience this place as a fellow colleague recommended it. So I did not make it to the door until after 9 pm. I had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman behind me, asking him about the place (just to get a feel of what's to come). So the manager called in the next ppl. I was dining solo, so I stood in the doorway. I was greeted and told her only me for dining. She responded, saying "the line," which I'm assuming she meant the wait line, which I responded yes, I DID, in fact, stand in it. So she smirked at me, looked me up and down, walked past me and called in the guy I was speaking to and his guest, and sat them in front of me. I was embarrassed, but I assumed maybe there was another table being prepared, seeing as how I was solo. So I continued to look around, people staring at me, including the gentleman I spoke. He seemed just as confused as I was. So I gave it a couple of more minutes as I was deliberately overlooked. So I asked a waitress, I was in line, someone behind me was sat before me and what should I do. She made the manager away. Of course speaking French (which I do not speak) and she pointed to the outside as if (go stand in line). So she and the waitress who was going to serve me addressed me and said I needed to "que" (stand in line). I said I did.. I've waited over an hour. You sat the gentleman right behind me first.. APPARENTLY IM A LIAR.. She had to go them and confirm. I literally felt embarrassed and could feel the room just staring at me. So she cleared a table for me and sat me. I did not get acknowledged or addressed for several minutes once say. And the manager never apologized or acknowledged that she did in fact judge me, discriminate against me and accused me of not standing in line. Restaurant/Hospitality is my background and I've been successful in the US for over two decades from fine dining to Disney white linen to high clientele banquets. This was an awful experience that I hope no one gets to experience. I did not want to make this based on race, but I see no other way on why she would assume and judge me and then have to confirm with other patrons. Anyone (party of one to parties of 10) can walk to the door and say they were next. From being seated to finally receiving my water, my emotions became enraged and I could feel tears of anger coming. My spirit told me, it wasn't worth it. So I got up and left. I told the waitress, my experience just based on how I was greeted, ruined it for me.. I happily went to the burger spot down the way who has always treated me with kindness.. It may seem little and controversial to some but others have complained on less.. Karma is very real, madame.. You were wrong, and you indeed know it.. I do not wish to judge the restaurant simply on the staff's character although that says enough but I want to be fair so I will try another location either in London,...

I would like to share fair review with people who might wonder to go this restaurant one day. The restaurant is traditional French style and i'm sure most of the people will like it , the problem is there is no better restaurant around so they are getting by with old fame. Few things are very good , Servers managing to bring orders quickly, it is impressive how many tables they turn around so quick !! Great Team, The atmosphere is charm and ok , The Vine is Ok for the price, the salad is interesting, fresh and Ok as well, the meat is tender and tasty , the dressing is original, tasty , but very oily !! But I dont understand what is going with French Fries in this country !! I thought it is Americans eating the most fries OMG I was wrong !! They are piling you with the chap Fries like this is the last time you going to have it !! The desert Cheap donuts covered with liquid chocolate, Cheap and do not belong here, The coffee , Cheap and not good quality , however there is hard to find a good quality coffee in France, So overall, just good experience as like I said , there is no better around But way overpriced and not as good quality as you might expect, However don't get turned away by this review , i just wanted to share my opinion. The owner is very nice and might great you during a dinner, but she pay more care for the Instagram marketing than to make sure the quality of the food and the ingredients are good, Paris is a beautiful experience for the architecture and museums and art and shopping but if you are about the food and quality of service and the ingredients you eat, please take my advice and visit Belgrade Serbia and you will not regret, It will be the best decision you ever made. Yes I am Serbian and im not promoting it for no reason, Go and check it out for yourself, Quality of service is what you see in the Michelin star restaurants, Table cloth in almost every restaurant, Ambience and hygiene, of tables, dishes, floors, toilets is way better, Coffee is usually way better than 90% of the places i tried in France, Food Quality is way better and most of the dishes are actually cooked and baked or roasted not fried !! I dont know what is going on in France but almost every restaurant is serving super cheap fried food , a big disappointment !! It is very hard to find a good quality real French restaurant in France serving real French food, Except some of the exclusive and super expensive restaurants. If you ever visit Belgrade try the restaurants and you will be blown away and will be talking about for years, I dont live in Belgrade any more but every time i go there i keep telling people they are blessed to have options to enjoy those great restaurants and coffee shops, other world metropoles can just dream about it, But Paris is Paris and you come here to feed your eyes not stomach , So enjoy what you can until is the way it is as the whole world is changing in the front of our eyes, there is no more architectural new buildings just cheap boxes of concrete and metal and plastic, so enjoy the beautiful Architecture until is still here , hope they maintain it forever. Love Paris forever and keep up with realistic reviews as always I usually dont give the reviews but I think I should start doing...

So we were recommended this place by a local, he warned us that there is no reservations because it’s traditional French. This was ok, so we went, we waited and then we waited some more. The hostess who was at the door was extremely rude, she didn’t try to explain anything, she didn’t speak with us, she only barked numbers at us as if we were animals. But we ignored her as the food would hopefully be worth the wait. We were a table of 6 and we needed to wait a bit longer. This was ok, but again she kept barking 6 at us in French. We thought she didn’t speak English, so we tried some of our basic French as this is polite to do in another country and we didn’t want to be rude. No success with that either, she was still very rude, actually, she was getting more and more rude by the minute.

Eventually we get in and wow, she crammed us into a table, forcing us to sit, asked us where the other two members of our party were (they were outside because the space to wait was too small and they had walked across the street) she was fuming and told us we can’t wait for them (they were already outside by this point) and she began to man handle my mother in law and try to force us out of the restaurant and by into the waiting area (outside in the cold may I add) at this point she started to speak English, and quite well may I add, so she had purposely chosen not to speak to us the whole time. As you can imagine, things got heated quickly and my wife and family left before an argument started, of course we didn’t wait and we went else where, but I stayed back because I wanted to calmly try to speak with this lady to ask why she had put her hands on my mother in law and ask why she was so rude with us. Instead of talking with me, she essentially pushed me to the side and filled our table up with more guests, they are money driven and don’t care at all about their customers, they only care about getting as many people in and out as quickly as possible, if this is traditional French cuisine then I’d recommend against it and go to a more modern French environment, like Georges across the street, where we went and had fabulous service. Such a shame and such a horrible way to...

Service was great and welcoming, however we had so many issues with our meal that really left us with a bad taste in our mouth. 1. We ordered sparkling water, yet it was served in a reused Badoit bottle and was very weak. 2. Our salads arrived and was lightly dressed and not very flavourful. My salad was so sandy I could not have more than a few bites of it. 3. We asked for our meat rare. Our first portion was about 150 grams, 200 if we're being generous, which I wasn't satisfied with. I finished my portion within two minutes. Although the meat was tasty and the iconic butter sauce was a great pair, I finished my small portion too quickly to enjoy it. 4. The fries were ok. The main issue is there was not enough butter sauce and no other condiments were served, so after a few fries they became too dry to finish. 5. The second portion came and was about 100 grams. My partner got around 150 grams. My steak was once again rare and delicious, but my partner's was medium well. It was shocking how bland and unimpressive her overcooked cuts were. Very disappointing. 6. There is no AC and the windows are wide open to allow the Parisian breeze to enter when it wants to. The problem is so many people are waiting in line outside by the windows so smoke is bound to linger indoors. I wish the management enforced a "no smoking in line" rule, but to ask this is like asking Parisians to forego croissants. 7. Each meal was €30. A sandy, flavourless salad, 300 grams (give or take) of entrecote, and fries you don't know what to do with is not worth the asking price, especially if you have to wait in line like most guests do. We forewent dessert, discouraged from the poor showing of the previous courses. Although there were two portions given, they were both on the smaller side so it really is one normal portion cleverly split up to seem bigger with the second portion of fries given as well. Do not wait in line for this.

Le Relais de Venise opens its doors for dinner at 7pm, and they don't accept reservations. Arriving at around 6:30pm, I was met with a small queue, which quickly grew to twice its size by opening time. Be prepared to wait for at least an hour. The restaurant has a straightforward menu, offering only chips and Entrecôte as the main course. However, the Entrecôte was a delightful surprise, tender and delicious. For dessert, there's a decent selection to choose from. When it comes to wine, you're limited to red, white, or rosé, as there's no wine list to peruse. The lack of variety was a downside. The set menu includes a green salad in mustard vinaigrette with walnuts and the main course, but desserts come at an extra cost. The absence of a diverse menu has its charm, as this restaurant has been serving the same dishes since 1959. However, the waitstaff doesn't provide much explanation about the menu. Upon seating, the waitress simply asks for your preferred steak doneness: rare, medium, or well-done, with no option for medium-rare. The service here prioritizes quick turnover, ensuring you don't linger for long. While I enjoyed the Entrecôte, the service gave off a fast-food restaurant vibe. It was a bit off-putting when the waitress asked for tips, considering the service was only marginally better than fast food. In the end, it's a good spot for a quick, satisfying meal if you don't mind the rushed atmosphere, but don't expect a fine dining experience here.

Many people recommend this restaurant so I gave it a shot and it was quite interesting. I was told to arrive before closing, when the line is shorter, and so I waited for 40 minutes which is okay according to other people. When we got inside it felt like a factory. So much noise and so many people crammed in one spot, It takes away from the experience. But when we got our food everything started rolling. The salad was a nice appetizer and then came the steaks. The sauce, fries and meat were amazing. And I was thrilled when our 2nd batch came because I was still starving but by the time we finished I was definitely full. We also took 2 desserts and they were okay. Did not expect too much considering it a steak restaurant. Only reason I cant give it a 5 start rating is because it is so chaotic, the waitresses are bound to make mistakes. For example, one of our glasses wasn’t washed, and we got an already opened bottle of coke. Waiting 45 minutes or even 30 minutes in line for a restaurant is certainly considered bizarre in our age, but if you have the time I recommend you try this place because the food is just too good to pass.
