Popped in twice during our recent Valentine's trip to Paris as it was convenient to where we were staying. Our first visit was just for drinks, an IPA and a hot chocolate, something warm before returning to our Airbnb. Simple straight forward and good service. Sat inside where it was nice & warm, just to chill for half an hour.
We popped back the following day for our evening meal, nothing too complicated, more of a snack than a full meal. A couple of bowls of onion soup and a portion of fries, with a carafe of red wine. Soup was hot with large croutons and a pepperie flavour. Simple food, good tasting wine. Friendly service. Nothing posh.
The atmosphere was good, nice and busy, both inside and out. The outside area was packed, the inside not quite so, but the atmosphere was still good, plenty of people enjoying their evening, as we did.

Read moreLe Saint Jean is the kind of restaurant that delivers exactly what you’d expect for its price. Affordable? Yes. Gourmet-level quality? Not quite. The beef came with a brie cheese sauce that leaned a little too much on the watery side, but hey, it’s the thought that counts, right? The service, on the other hand, was great—our waiter was all smiles and handled everything smoothly. I visited around 3 PM for a late lunch, and the fact that they were still serving at that hour was a huge plus. If you’re exploring nearby tourist spots and need a quick, no-fuss place to sit down and fill your stomach, this is a solid option. Just don’t go in expecting a Michelin star experience, and you’ll...
