Empty cafe when we walked in for breakfast. Waitress threw menus on table for us and shoved croissants and jam on table before even looked at the menu. Just a couple of mins later came up and asked for order - my husband told her the coffee he would like and started to tell her the breakfast he wanted and she very rudely stopped him and said 'just drinks, just drinks!'. My children then gave their drink orders and I said 'ummmm, I think maybe I'd like..... ' when she VERY RUDELY cut me off and said 'Madam, I am busy. Just order a drink now. Come on, come on!' There was only people at 2 tables so we made it very easy for her and got up and left. There are so many lovely cafes in this immediate area - don't waste your money on...

We had the best experience here. We came in feeling a bit unsure of it all as a lot of restaurants in this area are quite expensive, and the boards are mostly in French, but the lovely female waitstaff was so warm friendly and helpful, giving recommendations when asked and not being pushy.

We tried the escargot (which was actually really delicious, surprisingly) and she gave us some tips on how to eat it most easily. We also had the pork confit and the duck confit, they were both really good but the duck skin was outrageously good... rendered perfectly.

For the 6 pieces of escargot, two pints of beer and the two mains, came to 52 eur, which compared to some other places locally was really fair/cheap.

We walked up at 12:10 and the restaurant was nearly empty (maybe three or four tables occupied). When we asked the Maitre-d' if we could be seated (4 ppl), he informed that the restaurant was "completely booked". Quite astonishing, considering the number of open tables. We decided to leave as the Gentleman was less than pleasant when smugly informing the situation. To check, I decided to see if I could make a reservation on-line and, sure enough, was able to receive a confirmation for 4 ppl at 12:30. We decided anyhow to cancel due to the prior reception.
