I think I have been visiting 'Les Pipos' for 30 years. Once or twice a year. Had great evenings. My review concerns my last visit in the month of January 2022. It was a Friday evening. The terraces in the square were full, despite the temperature. I made a reservation with my daughter. We went in around 8:30 PM. There were 2 tables occupied. The host/bartender received us and immediately went back to an older couple at the bar with whom he was chatting. Every 10 minutes they went out to have a smoke. The three of them had a good time. Had to tap the front door window a few times to get attention to place an order. The host/bartender did not provide a good atmosphere or nice background music. He was constantly busy with his two acquaintances and not with the other guests. A couple came in, looked at it for 5 minutes and left the place. I should have done that that night too.
It's summer now. The atmosphere is created by the customers and the lively neighbourhood. That's easy. The trick is to create atmosphere in the quiet months. That takes effort. The prices stay the same, so I expect the same service and warmth. I come from a hospitality family. I was 'born' into this bussiness. I have had hospitality companies for decades. Believe me the demands I make are not unreasonable and take the circumstances (corona, quiet periods)...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Les Pipos, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The meal began with their delectable duck confit, which was cooked to perfection and full of rich, savory flavors. The beef bourguignon followed, and it was incredibly tender, melting in the mouth with each bite.
The chicken and pork fillet mignon were equally impressive, both cooked to an ideal level of doneness and seasoned beautifully. The entire meal was a testament to the quality and care that goes into each dish, all of which are homemade.
For dessert, we indulged in a creamy crème brûlée and a delicious cheesecake, both of which provided a perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic lunch. The crème brûlée had a perfect caramelized top and a smooth, luscious interior, while the cheesecake was light yet decadent.
Overall, Les Pipos offers a wonderful dining experience with excellent homemade dishes. Each course was a delight, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a...

We were welcomed into the restaurant and promptly seated by the door. The server recommended the most popular dishes - Beef bourguignon and roasted duck. Which my partner and I couldn't refuse - we were told that all of the food was homemade and prepared fresh. We also ordered a couple of drinks.
We didn't have to wait long before we had drinks, our food and a basket of bread on our tables. Both the beef and the duck were delicious (probably one of our favourite meals while staying in Paris), they were rich and hearty.
We enjoyed the food so much we decided to stay for desserts. We order two creme brulee - another 10/10. Perfect.
If you're in the area, and need some fuel for exploring Paris. Stop here and enjoy some authentic French cuisine.
Two mains. Two beers. Two desserts. And a basket of bread came to ~€70. Which we thought was reasonable given we were in central Paris just down from...
