This place offers one of the best pizzas we have had in a long time. My friend and I visited I Lazzari yesterday while wondering in the Saint Germain de Prés area. We are both Italians and expats for work. The place is deliciously furnished in Italian style and looks like a home kitchen. White tablecloths, careful service, fun and informal ambiance. But most most important: incredible food. The pizzas are beyond remarkable. For starters we had scugnizzi con melanzane and there incredible. We had a burratina pizza, and the tomato sauce itself is worth a visit. Great ingredients, fresh and tasty like the best Italian tradition. The half white and half red quattro formaggi was also memorable. The home made tiramisu, to wrap up the dinner, had delicious slightly crunchy chocolate chips that made it unforgettable in its simplicity. We woke up this morning thinking back about the pizza. No joke!!

Don’t be scared by the big line from 9.30, the food is so good that it is totally worth the wait. The staff is fun, warm and attentive. In 4 words: Italy at...

I had heard great things about this restaurant and was very much looking forward to trying it this week. We live in Paris and have a dozen or so travelers per month who ask for recommendations when they visit. We were expecting to add this restaurant to our short list, but unfortunately were not able to experience the food as the service was so unbelievably unprofessional.

We had a reservation and, after we were seated and waiting to order, were approached by a woman working who began yelling at us and kicked us out of the restaurant. We received very little explanation for this, only shouting that there were people waiting outside. We inquired what then, exactly, the point of a reservation was, at which point she impolitely demanded that we leave and wait outside for another table. All this after being seated by one of her colleagues, who looked on helplessly, despite confirming that we did have a reservation.

The food looked good, but this horrific experience left a bad taste in our mouth. We...

I am not the type of person who writes restaurant's reviews but I really think this is worth of doing so. Although the food is actually good, the service is terrible, I have been here two times (gave it a second chance) and both of them have been a disaster. Last time we were literally kicked out of the place while we were still drinking our wine! (They started kicking us out after 1 HOUR of being there) They really don't want people staying longer than an hour and they will let you know, it doesn't matter if you haven't finished your meal.

There was also another couple complaining about the service as we...

We walked in on a summer afternoon around 2 and the staff warmly greeted us immediately. We were allowed to pick our seating and the staff was more than helpful. They even allowed us to take extra time struggling to order in French. Drinks came expeditiously and the food overcame all expectations. We ordered: Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, Schiaffoni Della Nonna (pictured), and a Bufalotta Pizza. All dishes were extraordinary, but the Bufalotta Pizza is the best pizza we've had since our trip to Italy two years ago!

We chose a table close to the kitchen area and the clay pizza oven just made everything so cozy in such a cold rainy night. Services were nice with all Italian sense of humor, love it. I'm not an expert in Italian cuisine so I just give my own opinion about pizza is that the look was so catchy to me and the texture of the dough is just perfect. I chose a simple one but the taste was just so yummy. Btw, it is BIG (for me) 😅 Come back or not? Of course I will!
