Well, lads and lassies, let me tell ye about the absolute DIAMOND I stumbled across in the heart of Paris, of all places! Picture this: me and my sister, stranded in the City of Lights, our connecting flight cancelled faster than a politician’s promise. So, what do we do? We hop on these mad eScooters—because apparently, we’re young and reckless now—and we’re zippin’ through Paris at midnight, takin’ in the sights like we’re in some budget remake of Midnight in Paris. Now, I’m not sayin’ I’m a professional drinker, but when life chucks ye a curveball in a foreign country, there’s nothin’ more comfortin’ than the warm, invitin’ glow of an Irish pub. It’s like crawlin’ back into the bosom of your mammy, except with better craic and a pint in hand! This place—oh, it was like walkin’ into a hug. The staff? Homely as a Sunday roast at your granny’s. The prices? So reasonable, I nearly asked if they’d forgotten to charge me for the ambiance! And then, the pièce de résistance: I order a Jack Daniel’s and Coke, expectin’ a wee glass, somethin’ modest. Lads, they bring me a goblet so enormous, it could’ve doubled as a fishbowl! I’m sittin’ there, starin’ at this vat of booze, thinkin’, “Is this allowed? Is this legal in France?” I waited a couple of YEARS to write this review, just to make sure the barman doesn’t get hauled off for over-generosity. So, to that glorious pub: Sláinte! Ye saved two stranded souls, and we’ll be singin’ your praises ‘til we’re old and...
Read moreThis pub saved Paris (for me) I was about to write off Paris as a place I've been to a few times and just never had a good experience. I had one more night in the city and decided to do some exploring. I wanted an Irish pub for a pint of Guinness and maybe some hearty pub food. The second I walked in I felt more at home than I have in a long time. The Guinness was delicious. They pride themselves on cleaning the lines frequently. I had a Magner's and that hit the spot as well. I ordered the fish and chips. Chips were crispy, fish was nice and light and flaky. I only wish there was more on the plate. What set this place apart was the crew behind the bar. Can't say enough about how good the service was. Stayed for several hours just chatting with them like old friends. I skipped the rest of the bars on my pub crawl (except...
Read moreA good Irish pub I've known for 5 years+ Very good pints of beer and cider! Many carbonated choices for a good price especially during happy hours. Good food for a good price but still ''too French'' like all the pubs I've been in Paris. Service: I've been very disappointed in many waiters and waitresses who clearly don't want to be there, are rude, an Australian man was offended that I asked him if he was Irish in 2022... and a French woman with an awful accent in English who was very rude towards friends and myself in 2023. I hope she's been fired... !! Many nice people are looking for jobs. Otherwise, I highly recommend this pub, but speak loudly if someone lacks you respect. I can tell you they won't be the boss, who's a very...
