We stumbled upon this place as we were walking from Opera to Montmartre and looking for a change from French cuisine. This place serves delicious dumplings! Generous portions - 10 dumplings is plenty and they’re stuffed to the max.
We ordered the Borgi StyleDdumplings which was their version of beef bourguignon stuffed into a dumpling. Amazing! Highly recommend these.
We also ordered the Spicy Lover Halal dumplings and even for spice lovers like us, these were way too 🌶️ 🥵 spicy. They were coated in spicy chili oil which meant that the spiciness sticks to your tongue and coats your mouth making it hard to relieve your taste buds. We wouldn’t get these again bc we weren’t able to enjoy the flavor of the filling. That said, we wouldn’t definitely come back for the other dumplings. They are full of complex flavor and generously portioned.
We also didn’t order the extra broth option and if we go back, we would definitely do that. Service was fast. We got there at 2 PM (they close at 3 PM) and immediately got a seat. Food came out fairly quickly by French standards. Everyone speaks English and is happy to do so.
Good service. Nice casual atmosphere that definitely reminds me of noodle and dumpling houses I’ve...
Read moreHad a nice late lunch at Mian Fan (closer to 2 pm local time). I had the Jiaozi santé, which is a vegetarian option garnished with carrots, green onions, and cucumbers. These were good dumplings! The wrapper was not too thick nor thin, and the dumplings had a good amount of filling - without being too generous. The corn inside was sweet. This specific bowl does not come with soup/broth but most others do. While it approached their afternoon closing at 3 pm, we didn't feel rushed or pressured to leave. I can't say the portion sizes were the largest I've seen, but it would make a decent light lunch or dinner. Happy to have had a good Mian Fan experience as visitors! Cool interior and branding. We were able to communicate in simple...
