Every thing was good except for the service and staff , we visit paris every year and every year we must eat in new Jawad but this year we faced very rude service , I have made a reservation ahead of time for 9:45 pm we have arrived to the restaurant at 9:35 better early then late , we were told to wait 10 minutes until a table was available even though we had a reservation no table was seemed to be reserved for us, which we waited 30 minutes before we were guided to a table that we did not like and we requested to move to another available table as we expected waiting a long time for a good table , one of the staff that works at the entrance/reception area was very rude saying that the table will not fit us and that if it doesn’t fit we will not be serviced and not be moved to another table , while clearly that table fit us perfectly and we did end up sitting and eating there comfortably, what he said was fine but the manner he said it in was not acceptable as customers who always come around . I’m leaving this review to know what you will expect going there especially if you are not Indian or local . This Treatment was subjected to us and several others Arab/middle Eastern customers .
Update to the owner reply to my review : As I said nothing was wrong with what was said but the manner and attitude was not respectful to us as customers who are regulars that table did indeed fit six people as we ended up sitting in it and everything was completely fine and comfortable and proved your argument wrong. As you brought fairness to this , it was NOT fair to us as well waiting all that time to not receive...
Read moreI’m not even sure how to begin.. what a nightmare! The portions were SO SMALL, it was insane. I’ve never seen such a tiny samosa (7 euros!!) and so tasteless, I mean, it was grey inside. Tastes like a pack of cheap frozen samosas you’d buy at the supermarket.
We ordered the chana masala and the eggplant curry, they were absolutely bland. The chickpeas tasted like they were tipped in straight from the can and the sauces were watery and lacking flavour. I’m a huge fan of Indian cuisine and this was a blasphemy! Where were the seasoning? They forgot about them apparently.
I was trying to taste something by adding salt and the waiter told me I shouldn’t add salt, because it’s unhealthy 😂 what?! I told him I couldn’t taste any seasoning in the food and he asked me if I wanted it spicier. Honestly, what a horrific experience we had.
The rice we ordered (6 euros) was a disgrace too. Smallest portion ever and super bland. They just threw some raisins, raw pistachios and raw almonds on top, didn’t season or at least toasted them to bring some flavour out.
I was absolutely in shock when I found a hair in the curry in my plate and decided to walk out the door. We didn’t have the chance to try the naan but it was also the smallest naan we’ve ever had.
I don’t recommend this place and will never go back. It was the worst dinning experience I’ve ever...

While standing near the Eiffel Tower and searching for Indian food, I came across New Jawad and another nearby restaurant. After reading the Google reviews, I chose New Jawad, assuming it would offer a good dining experience. I also noted that their hours indicated they were open until 2:30 PM, which typically means the last order should be taken around that time.
However, upon arriving at 2:15 PM, I was told the restaurant was closed, despite seeing people still seated and enjoying their meals inside. When I pointed out that Google mentioned a closing time of 2:30 PM, the staff responded quite rudely, saying they didn't care about what was listed on Google and that they stop taking orders at 2:00 PM.
I was surprised and disappointed by this treatment, especially since I had my baby with me. In my experience, no Indian restaurant would turn away customers—especially families—so close to closing time. This lack of hospitality was quite unexpected and unlike the warm, welcoming service I’m used to from Indian restaurants worldwide.
As I didn’t get the chance to eat here, I can't comment on the food itself. If you’re still inclined to try it, I recommend you carefully plan your visit around their actual closing time, which seems to differ from what's...
