Pépone trattoria & café — Restaurant in Paris

The staff seems nice only to the locals who speak French! I asked for a tasting of the gelato before deciding on a double scoop of pistachio on a waffle cone. The staff of middle-eastern descent said in a very rude manner that I can only do a tasting of one flavor! Sure, I understand the store has a policy, but there is a nicer way to convey that to customers than to make a customer feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

The pistachio gelato was awesome and will give 4-stars for that, but poor and rude service. Even after paying, the guy didn't say "Merci, au revoir" like to other customers. He handed me my change and looked grumpy, like he wasn't happy to serve or work there.

Also, the server wasn't wearing a mask when serving! This is just yesterday Mon 10 Aug 2020. Aren't we still in the vigilant stage of social distancing and wearing masks at stores and cafes?

Ate dinner outside here with my son and husband. The food itself was three stars but the service brought it down to two stars.

We ordered pasta in tomato sauce for my son, and my husband got the arriabata pasta. Both were okay, and I did like that they brought out my son's first. We also ordered a feta salad to start that could have used more oil and vinegar which was not brought to the table.

I ordered a margherita pizza. The taste was fine - once I received it. I was about to just cancel the order when it came - after my husband had received, eaten, and finished his dinner. It was also weird that the pizza was not cut at all - I had to use my knife to cut slices.

Waiter was apologetic but did nothing to compensate for the inconvenience.

It’s just because of the extreme hot weather, we pop in this restaurant randomly. We are group of 14, with elderly end kids

First of all, the waiter who serve us almost speak 0 English or refuse to speak English. When we ask questions about the salad bar, waiter and waitresses just passing the ball each other. No one able to answer our question and place any order. “Fabulous” service. The food is over priced, however it’s close to the tourist area and it’s fair enough.

The waitress made the wrong order to our table. And she even don’t remember what we have order. Also serving the wrong items to our tables.

The waiter doing the best is chatting with his mate. I’ll rate 5 star for this.
