Don’t trust the reviews for Lux Bar and do yourself a favor and skip this place. “Some people say these are the best cocktails in Paris” well some people would be wrong. I’ve never had a cosmo be bitter or served in a coke glass with macerated lime before, but there’s a first time for everything. The pornstar martini had absolutely no alcohol in it, the lightweight of the family was stone cold sober after drinking it. To top off the unique experience that was Lux, our waiter waited until we were ready to pay to tell us their credit card machine was down and we would need to pay in cash. The bar tender and sever were absolutely just pocketing the money from our bill, probably why there was no alcohol in our drinks so they didn’t need to account for it being missing. Read moreIn Paris for the weekend, and in the area to visit the Sacré-Cœur. Looking for somewhere to eat breakfast and happened upon Lux Bar. So glad we did - it was perfect ! Such a warm welcome and the breakfast options were exactly what we wanted on this occasion (coffee, croissant, orange juice, tea, eggs). It was wonderful to sit and watch locals and tourists (though not too busy here At All) there were options to sit in either sun or shade. Inside, the bar is absolutely beautiful with a street scene depicting the Moulin Rouge made from tiles ... wish I'd taken a picture ! Thank you to our lovely host, we felt well...
