’ve been here at least once a year since the last five years. Quality: The food is authentic Thai food provided by authentic people and the quality is good; I’ve never been disappointed, it is always delicious, fresh, right from the kitchen!!
Quantity: The quantity is sufficient for me and my family and it is clear that the accent at Erawan is on quality rather than quantity. If you want to eat a lot, you have to order a lot! But the portions are enough to fulfill an usual adult person.
Service: The owners and staff are welcoming friendly, smiling and caring about their guests. The service is perfect, food comes timely from the kitchen.
Interior: spacious, lots of seats, warm in winter and fully airconditioned in summer.
Lunch/dinner: I can only speak for lunch since I come for lunch only, but the menu is a very good deal and tasty. There are a lot of people working coming here for lunch, but it is also good for a date or to come as a group of people since there is enough space between the tables.
Food: I very much like the currys, pad thai, but I have not had the occasion to taste everything – I am sure that all the food is tasty and good. I liked also the desserts.
As a conclusion: If you want to enjoy real Thai food with a lot of choices in a relaxing atmosphere, be serviced by nice persons and have a good time, then Erawan is the place to go. It is close to the Eiffel tower, metro Motte Picquet Grenelle and Dupleix...
Read moreWe live in the same street where this restaurant is located. The first time we had dinner here was last year in Nov. I ordered Kai Beyteuil. The description was fried chicken in bay leaf. But it was not fried at all. It looked more like an steamed chicken. and didn’t taste good. The quantity was ridiculously small. I was very disappointed. I didn’t complain because we were with a friend and didn’t want to ruin our evening.
Last week my husband and I decided to give it a try again with another kind of dish. I ordered XL pad thai hoping to share with my husband. He ordered Ken Nong Koun ( shrimp with coconut milk and yellow curry). I was shocked when my pad Thai came. The quantity was very small! I wonder if they know the difference between small, medium, large and XL! If that was their XL, (the small which didn’t exist in their menu) wood be two teaspoons! They should not describe it as XL. It’s very misleading. Unless if that’s their definition of that size. The quantity is not proportionate to the price. I would have agreed if it was French cuisine which normally comes in small...
Read moreTHEY FORCED MY BOYFRIEND TO EAT. I stumbled across this place with a friend and my boyfriend just to wish we had planned to eat at a better place earlier. Scratch that, I wish we had planned to eat at whichever place that wasn’t this. My boyfriend wasn’t that hungry so he just wanted to have a couple of beers while me and my friend ate but the waiter said that if he wanted to stay he HAD to eat. We were already mad at that point but it was only the start. The food came and it was a portion for an 8 year old kid and completely lacking in flavor. We just wanted to get out of there at this point but then they gave us the check and it was 24€ per person. We obviously paid but we left stupefied furious and still hungry. I never write reviews but I had to for this restaurant because it might as well have...
