Villa Verdi — Restaurant in Paris

Very disappointed by the service .... Although the kitchen was quite reactive, the service was disappointingly slow and didn’t take much care of us, probably since we were “younger” and thus less financially attractive to them (which is something I hate 1- you don’t judge a book by its cover and 2- that was a special occasion for us & we wanted to celebrate accordingly).

First, It took us quite some time to get our orders taken . The food was quite good overall. We all took different kind of veal (Milanese etc). You could tell the veal was of good quality; however we agreed on the lack of flavour to spice up the dishes (sauce; more eggplants for those who had some; herbs, flavoured cheese; pepper and salt). 35 minutes after we had finished all our meal; after many attempts to get the waiters’ attention; after getting the menus ourselves since nobody was coming; we finally went ourselves to the bar to ask for someone to take our order for dessert. We were that close to leaving but we saw many attractive desserts going out of the kitchen and wanted our share. We all chose the tiramisu which was a good choice. The Ice creams looked very nice as well !

I reckon we didn’t enjoy the end of evening as much since the service had left us with a bitter taste. The restaurant was not overcrowded yet the service was not efficient. I am willing to pay a premium for food (count 17$ on average for pasta & 25$ for a main) but I am expecting good and responsive service in return.... I reckon a good efficient service would have made this comment much...

Even though we ordered a pizza without pork, they brought it with pork and charged us for it.——— First of all, even this post is extremely rude. When we ordered, the waiter told us it contained pork. When we said we didn't eat it, he said he could change it. We confirmed the order. 10-15 minutes later, the waiter came back and asked if our order was ready. We told him we had already ordered it. So, the waiter didn't understand our order, which was our first mistake. After our order arrived, we thought the waiter had changed the pork as he had told us. We tried a few slices, but only took a small bite. We never ate three slices. When we realized it was pork, we asked the waiter again and he said, "Yes, it's pork." When we said you said you could change the pork when you ordered, he said no. He called another employee, a woman in a black dress. Her tone and gaze were very harsh. She told us that if you don't eat this, you have to pay; you ordered it. They never even offered a discount, and even though we said we didn't eat it, they wrapped the food up and brought it to us as if they were mocking us. As a manager, even this message is extremely rude and you don't know how to treat a customer. We politely explained that our order had been incorrectly placed twice and that it wasn't our fault. We paid the bill and left so as not to prolong the situation. Both you and your staff...

I was there for the second time last night because I craved Italian food and I remembered the ravioli was good last time. I had my mother in law with me even though she hates the place. Last night I understood why.

The service is extremely slow. There were barely any people there and the staff seemed inexperienced.

We got served the wrong food. They discovered this after a while and by that time my boyfriend had managed to touch the plate and put extra pepper on the pasta. A girl took the food away and went back to the kitchen with it. 10 seconds later she comes back out with the same plates(!) and serves it to the people who were supposed to have it. That's disgusting!

My risotto with asparagus looked (and tasted like) baby food. Not recommended unless you're toothless and blind.

My mother in law got a long, black hair on the edge of her plate. It was curled up so it didn't touch her food, but the owner didn't even have the courtesy to make an apology or offer her a free coffee after or anything.

The owner is simply rude. When we asked for the bill he threw it on the table in front of me so hard that it almost knocked over my glass.

This restaurant is pricy and overrated and I will definitely not go there again. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby with...
