Aux Cerises — Restaurant in Paris

Please save your money and avoid this place. Initially this place looks promising. It had decent reviews and very nice when you walk in. We ordered two full breakfast “Assiette complète” and Avocado Toast, fruit salad and (2) cafe au lait.

The food came out two to three minutes after we placed the order. We were shocked at how fast it come out. That’s not even enough time to toast bread, let alone cook eggs.

Despite having a giant, expensive looking coffee machine on display, the cafe au lait served was from a Keurig type of machine.

We left there hungry and almost 80 euros poorer. I’m very surprised at the reviews they have praising the place.

We came here on my girlfriends birthday. The cafe was almost empty, so we sat at the table, and started looking at the menu.

The waiter came and asked if we had a reservation. He took away the menu I was holding in my hands and asked us to leave the table because it was reserved. He didn’t offer any other table for us to sit at.

I then put my backpack on another free table while he was talking to some other customers. He asked me to remove the backpack, because that table was reserved as well. There was no sign on any of the tables indicating they had been reserved.

He told us to wait, while he would deal with other customers who came later than we had come.

Never recommend the place. If I could put zero...

Unfortunately, my experience here was quite poor. I ordered the chicken burger, which turned out to be a major letdown, cold, mushy, and lacking any proper texture. The accompanying potatoes were also cold and flavorless.

For dessert, I had the moelleux au chocolat, which I had already selected as part of the set menu, otherwise, I wouldn’t have bothered ordering anything else after the main course. What I received was nothing like a moelleux: it was a cold, dry brownie that didn’t even resemble the dessert it was supposed to be.
