One of those moments where you feel proud to bring a non Kurd to a Kurdish spot because they show how something simple should taste. Donât expect your usual kebab stuffed with sauce. This place serves traditional Kurdish sandwiches, which in my opinion are of much higher quality.
We had a dĂŒrĂŒm with Adana kebab and one with lamb skewers, both were delicious. The meat was well-seasoned without being overpowering, and the Adana had just the right amount of spice. Both sandwiches had a perfect balance between juicy meat and fresh vegetables. Since a proper Kurdish dĂŒrĂŒm doesnât include sauce, the meat needs to be juicy enough and the veggies well-balanced to keep it from feeling dry and they nailed it.
I definitely recommend having your dĂŒrĂŒm with a glass of dew, the Kurdish yogurt drink (more widely known as Turkish ayran) it pairs beautifully with the food.
My only small personal preferences for improvement: Iâd love the bread to be just a touch thinner, and the drinks served colder, especially on hot summer days. But overall, this was hands down the best dĂŒrĂŒm we had in Paris during our...
Read moreI visited Riha durum for the first time two years ago and IMMEDIATELY noted the name of the place on my phone because I knew I had to come back here next time I came to Paris. And I did, and it did NOT disappoint!!!!This was with no exaggeration the best durum I have ever had in my entire life. The ingredients are just top notch, soooooo soo fresh, and the meat is incredible as well!
I do have to add that I am a sauce person, I need sauce on everything and multiple sauces even-BUT these durumâs donât have a sauce per se but are still so incredibly juicy due to the freshness of the herbs as well as the juicy meat and the mix of sumac and what not. I donât feel like I am missing out on sauce at all. I donât even want it!!? AND WHAT ABOUT THE PRICE???? Amazing price for what you get!! One durum for 13 euros in middle of Paris in this economy? Come on somebody. Great...
Read moreI came here with my best friend. Two months before our trip to Paris she said we have to go here and couldnât stop talking about it until we arrived. She talked about the place so much I thought she was over-hyping it. She wasnât. It was soooooo good, the vegetables tasted really fresh and as if they were made just before the wrap (or at least earlier in the day), and not put in a fridge overnight. The meat was super juicy and had SO much taste. I also got a lot of meat, they didnât shy away with that. I didnât even realise that there was no sauce in the pita, because of how juicy and good the meat was. The spices they used were so good. It was only 11⏠and I didnât wait long either. I would really recommend this place! Service was good as well. 100% will come back here next time I...
